Pfizer was one of the first 2 to the market with a working vaccine and refused all aid from warp speed.

They got a 1.95 BILLION dollar contract from the federal Government last year and no strigs attached for their vaccine.

Sure but that's got nothing to do with Pfizer rejecting the warp speed money. In fact trumps admin didnt rollout available Pfizer surplused vaccine when it was just sitting in their warehouse. Imagine how much better we could be sitting if those vaccines were distributed by trump.

Pfizer only kinda sorta rejected warp speed money. They rejected R&D and instead opted for guaranteed purchase contracts. So they still got Warp Speed money. Also this article is hap hazardly written. In 1 paragraph they report that the trump administration was mad that Pfizer was moving too slowly, but then in the next paragraph the article says that the trump administration was throttling Pfizer and slowing them down. Well, which one was it?
Then we have the former fda chief who, was a political appointee under Obama, saying that the trump administration is letting vaccines sit in the warehouse. But then at the bottom of the article the Pfizer spokeswoman says there are no vaccines sitting in warehouses. So which one is it?

Guaranteed contract has zero to do with development speed and efficacy. The Pfizer was developed with their money with a promise by the govt to buy it if they suceeded.

It knocked me on my Kiester for about 24 hrs. I popped a fever for about 12 hrs, and just crummy for a few more after I broke the fever. And my arm is still sore.
