I don’t think she’s had this problem lingering like you, but my aunt also had experienced terrible smells when she had Covid, as opposed to outright losing her smell. Interesting to hear someone else report that variant of the symptom as opposed to outright losing their sense of smell.Has anyone here recovered from Covid but still have issues with smell? I had Covid in September. Not a mild case. But hospitalization not required. One of my biggest symptoms at the time was not a loss of smell but that i smelled things that were not there. It would alternate between electrical burn to a strong soapy perfume. It would cause my nose and lips to burn. I had this symptom for weeks after I recovered. Have not experienced it in about 2 months.
Until today. It got so bad at work I had to go out side to try and get fresh air as I was getting sick from smell. I share an office and no one else smelled anything. I’ve read a few articles that others continue with phantom smells long after Covid recovery. Just curious if anyone else has this issue.
