I don’t disagree that their methods are effective. I just don’t want that precedent in our country where the government pulls people out of their homes for forced quarantine or barging into my house to force a swab down my nose. Seeing those visuals in my country are scarier than anything this virus is throwing out.

Not sure I've ever advocated for that here. They went to extreme measures there and I agree it wouldnt fly here. However we cant deny that it seema.to have worked there. You invoked my name and I'm simply stating that those places have done a far better job controlling the virus than the USA.

It's hard to believe they completely eradicated it, even with those draconian measures to the point that everyone can just party on and not have to worry about it anymore. It's too contagious and can incubate a long time and spread asymptomatically.

I would tend to agree. It is China so those people could have just as easily been forced out there.

I have been reading articles recently of Americans living in Wuhan that say its relatively no cases there compared to here though.

It was more of a humorous jab calling you out and I’m sorry it didn’t come across better. I told my mother early into the countries such as China would do a better job on this. We are built on individualism and it would be a lot harder on us.

Yeah I agree. I think a key flaw in the strategy was to insititute the stay at home orders so early on. Case counts were low outside of the main entry hubs like NYC, other large cities. We blew our wad on that way too soon and now when deaths and cases are at their highest, when we should be staying at home nobody has the desire to do it all over again. It was a miscalculation in hindsight but one that was made at a time when there were so many unknowns about the virus.
 
If this is true, then this is the kind of stuff that is at work with the pandemic. Lots and lots of stories like this out there.



It may not be true, as I don't know how to verify it. But I've seen a few tweets about it, and I've heard a lot of things like this.

I’ve seen and heard this before. That’s why I don’t believe and will never believe the numbers because they are fluffed.

I don't consider Zero Hedge to be a reliable source. Also I don't believe COVID-19 came out of a lab.
