I don’t understand your point.

It’s well known that when one virus is dominant that other viruses have difficulty spreading.

I don't think that's as well known as you think.

The flu was dominant at the time Covid took off. Also, the cold is apparently still plentiful.

Anyways imo this new strain of covid is here and spreading, I don’t know why people are freaking out over it, viruses ------- mutate for ----- sake like the flu for example, that caused me to get my flight canceled to see some family for the first time ever in Honduras, we just gotta live with it, but take precautions at the same time, and does anyone know whether the vaccine is effective against the mutation ? I would think so given the same “spike protein” or whatever you call that

I have to laugh at the fan fare the media is putting on for the new UK strain. The UK strain is like the 8th strain or close to that. Remember when covid was first spreading around there was the S and L strain? How quickly people forget.

This either aged like a fine bovine mammary secretion, or these headlines on 'UK strain now in xxxx' are click bait. Remember how we were glued to our news stations back in February and March seeing if / when it would appear locally? This UK strain is the 2021 attempt to recreate that.
