So we just push forward wish everyone the best and hope the death toll isn't too high before it hopefully mutates to a less deadly version or herd immunity is achieved?

Btw I do agree about lockdowns. I just see a lot of these same things posted on FB but never a lot of answers to solving the issue of the virus itself

I wonder if it puzzles anyone else why there aren't many discussions of treatment. All we hear are masks, distancing, lockdowns, curfews, new restrictions, vaccines. There are rumors of therapeutic cocktails out there, but oh no, none of that stuff works. Everyone quickly shuts down that discussion before you can even bring it up. That is a big red flag for me in this whole situation.

I could be wrong but I believe 2 treatments recently hit the market for positive with symptoms and positive with no symptoms but high risk patients. I'm probably wrong but I'm buying more and more into the idea this wasn't naturally occurring.

I've seen a lot of reports that something like vit D + zinc + hcq is quite effective if taken early. But I think we have go go with expensive name brand items. I'm confident it came out of a lab.
 
I've been just following everything the government/doctors have said since the whole thing started but honestly the curfew is literally the most pointless thing ever. Bars are already de facto forced to close at 9 because of the alcohol sales law, and everything else that isn't essential that would be open late such as clubs and stuff have already been closed since the beginning of the pandemic.

The 1918 pandemic (Spanish Flu) killed ~675000 over a two year period. We are knocking on half that number in 9 months with Covid. Extrapolated out the 1918 pandemic averaged around 900 deaths/day for 2 years, although I’m sure just like this one there were much higher and lower days.

It's also hard to compare the 2 just based on advancement of medical care. Imagine if we were still as linited in treatment as they were then.

It's hard for me to believe that these vaccines underwent all of the rigorous testing that is typical for these kinds of things.

If that was the case, the President's treatment plan would have been just that. However you never heard anything more about it along these lines cause that wouldn't have helped at all. I really question where your reports are coming from.

They went through all the trials pahses they are supposed to go through. Drug manufacturing still has to go through the same regulatory and safety protocols. I work at a place making a vaccine now and nothing is different about our process than we've had for the many other things we manufacture as well.

I'm sure you're right. The only thing that will save us are lockdowns, name-brand medications, and rushed vaccines.

If any of what you believe was true, there is no way the doctors would have let almost 300k people die in this country.

For some reason, I was thinking 2-4 million deaths, but looks like you’re right. Regardless, population adjusted it was still far worse given the US population today is triple what it was in 1918, so the 2020 equivalent would be around 2 million deaths (maybe this is what I was thinking of?).
