Moot point. No one is going to get Covid and live with the virus inside of them for the rest of their lives lol
It’s not moot. You don’t understand the difference between cure and treatment, so I’m trying to help you understand. There’s no cure for Covid.
Also, how do you know the virus can’t remain dormant? Many viruses live in the body long term. We don’t know enough about the lasting long term effects of this virus to make that conclusion.
Shingles is a virus. There’s no cure for shingles. We have a new vaccine that was released in the last 2 years that cuts down shingles episodes or recurrence down by over 90%. Meaning, it’s protective in preventing shingles in 90% of the population who gets the 2 dose series.
Shingles is caused by a virus, varicella zoster, which is seen in folks who had chicken pox as children.
When you get chicken pox, the virus stays in your body for life, living in nerve cells in your spine. It reactivates due to stress mostly, causing shingles which are painful blisters on the skin from affected nerve endings. This can then sometimes cause PHN or postherpetic neuralgia, which is a lifelong, nerve pain and tingling issue as a complication from singles. People sometimes lose their eyesight permanently because they get orbital shingles in their eye.
So, with this *novel* Coronavirus, tell me how you know for sure people won’t live with the virus for a long time or have severe complications throughout their life resulting from Covid infection?
