What possibly could he restrict though ? It’s all a load of crap . They busted some lady in zebulon for having too many people but at the same time allowed a massive soccer tournament with people from all over to come . Who plays soccer in America mind you ? Affluent white people from liberal areas mostly . I hate it all, I’d be so satisfied if someone just walked up and back handed Cooper and Cohen a few times on live TV.
I agree 1000% but if I had to guess, he will restrict dine in establishments and reduce the number of individuals in stores?? Honestly I really don't know.

Just please, for the love of all things nice and happy in this world, don't shut down gyms again.... It's my outlet, where I go to release stress and energy. Especially now when it's cold, you can't just go outside for a walk.

I feel like at this point, there has to be some type of change in the restrictions. With the numbers of cases and hospitalization showing such as rise over the past month, officials are really between a rock and a hard place. If it were me, I would change something in order to try to slow the spread. Exactly what, I'm not sure. We can nitpick every regulation that's put in place because they often seem to be contradictory for different groups and businesses. Whatever measures are put in place, I hope that they are effective and the numbers level off over the next couple of months as we start to get the vaccine distributed.
I don't disagree and I think we all would love to see those numbers level off but to quote other's, they are kinda throwing stuff against the wall and hoping something sticks. I'd like to know how restricting individuals to their homes, during the time of the year they say it will be worse because of people staying inside more, makes sense.
I can't tolerate this guy talking to us like children, its frustrating oh and I guess everyone in NC will ring in the New Year at home. Wow

yeah the overnight stay at home order seems ridiculous to me. It doesn't affect me in the least--nor does cutting off the alcohol sales early (I get mine way before then j/k). My guess is the virus is spreading most efficiently during the daylight hours when everyone is at work.
Anyway, despite the upward numbers of cases, the overall hospital capacity remains largely unchanged. I'd be ok with tighter restrictions if and when the hospitals near the breaking point. Until then we might as well carry on.

Screw Cooper, god I hate when we bow down to the scared. Fear of death is really controlling a lot of this and dont tell me oh you would think differently if it was you or a loved one dying. No, no I wont quite frankly because If im meant to die at that moment I will be it of COVID or something else, death is never pleasant be it COVID or something else. End of the day its not the biggest restriction, still it will hurt businesses even more. Some states are going to be begging for lots of federal money ( States with Dem govs) while others will be doing better ( states with rep governors) soon enough.

The curfew is ridiculous!
Covid doesn't come out until 10pm.
So, I’m trying to figure out the curfew. Is it just an order for businesses to close at 10pm, or is it a true restriction on citizens’ freedom of movement after 10 pm? They are both bad, but the latter would really piss me off. I think curfews are Unamerican.

My guess is it is meant to limit overall # of contacts people have during hours that most people would only be out doing non essential things (drinking). Doubt its very effective though.

You reap what you sow. If people would just wear masks while out in public no lockdown would be needed. But no, you want your precious freedom not to wear them and now you will have even less of it. Glad the Governor had the guts to take this action.
What action did he take, gave you a 10 pm curfew like we're teenagers? And for your information I wear a mask when I'm around others, I think it's stupid and I don't think the Government should mandate it, but I wear it. What you want is a government that controls every aspect of our life, yeah I enjoy freedom and it comes with risk. So I guess 11 hospitals were supposed to get the vaccine but other hospitals are being told they are getting it as well...... The whole thing is more of a mess than the models right now

No reason to protest. He is trying to do the right thing to protect the people of NC. He ought to go even farther and close down a LOT more stuff and make it a 1 year jail term and $50000 for anyone caught violating the order.

What is insane is the fact that 15 million people have caught covid-19 with over 200000 deaths. If people would have just did the right thing with masks and the 6 foot distancing no lockdown would be needed.
