What District has no restrictions? Kids are not dying from Covid.Let's hope that number doesn't go up when reckless school districts open up with 0 restrictions and one kid spreads it to every other kid.

Do you run the risk of developing those long term complications with the vaccine? Is that the risk for bring this vaccine to market quickly? What about folks who don't die but have long term damage/after effects? Also, even with no after effects, it can be an awful and long experience.
I don't think the MAIN concern with school opening is that kids will die from covid (though that is a concern, even though the chances of a healthy child dying from it is very small). It's that kids will spread it amongst themselves and bring it home to parents, and grandparents, and aunts and uncles, and spread it to the teachers, many of which are older or have underlying conditions that could cause complications or deaths.179 flu-associated pediatric deaths unfortunately. About 179 more then Covid-19. Dis like it all y’all want but is worse to see a child die then a 80 something. At least they lived a full life.
Lowest levels since early July in today’s report (although only 79% of hospitals reporting, so I’m wondering how that may affect that metric), and CLI surveillance also showed a decrease in last Thursday’s report compared to the prior week, which kind of confirms this. Additionally, the percent positive rate continues to decline and the number of cases reported the last couple days has been the lowest in a while. Definitely some reasons to be optimistic. On a positive note, hospitalizations in NC have declined by nearly 200 in the past week.
Ya'll arguing about Covid and googles, but i wanna know more about this...

I heard the jist is the Dutch are better at social distancing so they don’t feel the mask are needed. However, in areas where SD isn’t possible they are wanting mask for things such as mass transit.Let’s argue ?

Holland's scientists say there's no solid evidence face coverings work
While 120 countries in the world, including much of Europe, have ordered citizens to wear masks in public places to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the Dutch are doing things differently.www.google.com

In Georgia?Huh? There have been multiple stories where kids have died.
1 death ages 0-17 in Georgia and the one had underlying heath issues.Huh? There have been multiple stories where kids have died.
Just for reference:In Georgia?
I hope she's not in a car accident! That plexi would cut deep. Why would you wear PPE in a car, by yourself? (Exceptions for Uber, Taxi's and Lyft).solid setupView attachment 46014
I don't know this particular lady's situation, but just for some perspective... Some hospital workers (or others in healthcare industries) take contamination of their PPE seriously and want to take it off properly and be able to sanitize afterward. Many hospitals and other healthcare facilities require their employees to be masked up 100% of the time on campus, from the car to the building and then back again at the end of the day. So many of them prefer to keep the mask on until they get home where they can take off their PPE properly. So I don't think it's too strange if they have a mask on way to and from work.I hope she's not in a car accident! That plexi would cut deep. Why would you wear PPE in a car, by yourself? Not here, wife’s sister works at North Side Covid unit. They are required to wear normal clothes into the hospital. They have a room where they change. When the shift is over they go back into that room change ,wash up and then you put your normal clothes on when going home.I don't know this particular lady's situation, but just for some perspective... The face shield... a little harder to come up with reasons for that one in the car solo.
Neat. I wonder which method the employees prefer. I'm sure each hospital or system has their own nuances. Not here, wife’s sister works at North Side Covid unit. She likes the process. The gear they have to wear is awful. They keep the Covid floors very cold but with all the walking she said they sweat a lot. They never use the same gear and never take any PPE home per hospital rules. I think it’s per system but I’ll ask her.Neat. I wonder which method the employees prefer. Can someone explain why this video is supposed to be a bad moment for Trump? Seems like they are both confused with each other.
I like the slogan. I use it a lot.The interviewer isnt confused at all, well I mean he is as not confused as someone talking to Trump can be given his rambling babble.....kudos to this guy for calling Trump on his lies, but then stroking Trumps ego enough to keep him talking.
Trumps response to 1000 Americans dying from Covid everyday was literally " it is what it is"
Trumps new campaign slogan should be "It is what it is" lol

“They are dying. That’s true. It is what it is.” Trump’s Axios interview was a disaster.
Jonathan Swan just put on a clinic on how to interview Trump.www.vox.com
I expect this, as well. There’s some evidence that things may be leveling off or even improving a little, but I don’t see enough evidence of this to deviate from the status quo.Anyone have any inside knowledge regarding what Gov. Cooper will decide today?
My guess is we stay where we are (phase 2).
Speaking of us our testing has dropped off significantly since early July despite the lies that they're increasing. No wonder the case count leveled off and dropped. Deaths still high daily.I’m working on Hartwell GA today and I have yet to see anyone wearing a mask.
You guys are awesome.
Where do you find the daily test,Speaking of us our testing has dropped off significantly since early July despite the lies that they're increasing. No wonder the case count leveled off and dropped. Deaths still high daily.
Georgia department of health website has a graph of the numbers.Where do you find the daily test,
Thanks, I saw the total but couldn’t find the daily test. I’ll look again.Georgia department of health website has a graph of the numbers.
I now have had many people I know get tested in the past two weeks. It's not for lack of availability as they all got seen quickly. It could be that summer camps are winding down and all the athletes and such for schools have all been tested.Speaking of us our testing has dropped off significantly since early July despite the lies that they're increasing. I just don’t think people are getting tested, they’re probably trying to find ways to cope with it themselves and take leave from work without much fanfare if they believe they’ve contracted it.I expect this, as well.
