Gonna have to get to like Taylorsville lol although not even being funny , that may be a Cult area up there I’ve NEVER met a human actually from there, CLT news doesn’t cover them, idk if Triad does either…. It’s just an area that exist but no one knows anything about

I mean I hope for all to score, but when push comes to shove I am definitely rooting for what is best for MBY. But it's certainly more fun to share in a big winter storm with others on the board rather than it being very isolated. If that means others mix or are fringed, then it is what it is. I may be more charitable if I had already had 20" on the season, but I haven't seen 20" of snow total in the last decade. The good news is that what we want to happen doesn't have any effect on what actually happens, so we can all wish for whatever we want! :)

@SD , I wouldn't mind another shift SE, too. Verbatim, the Euro is amazing here just on the right side of the sleet line, but I'd rather have a little more wiggle room.

I'd be more willing to be happy for others if I had had an actual snow storm in the last 7 years. At some point I'd like to see snow too

Bingo.

I'll be honest if I can walk out with 3-4 inches of sleet that's fine I can't sit here and watch it rain while seeing people 20 miles to the north get 6+ again. I might seriously delete my account

What if all these ppl cooler heads prevail …. We go another 30 miles SE then get that NW trend Circa Late Jan lol I mean I think we can both hit then. But yea after chilling out a bit you’re right, ppl on 77 or directly east FOR NOW Look to atleast have maybe a 2-4” event. Which again we’d be jumping for joy on Thursday / Friday had that been the deal

Yeah, if we had the snow climo of New England, I could understand sneezing at 2-4", but a lot of us haven't seen 2-4" of snow in years, so I think we gotta take what we can get. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see the 12z Euro come to fruition and for the snow to pile up to the better part of a foot, but I have to keep expectations in check and a 2-4" warning criteria event would be fine.

Yea for us to get a foot it would have to show 20-25” on mods imo. Yesterday, verbatim the forecast PROBABLY woulda been 4-8” on tv. In 2014 when I got 13” EVERYTHING showed like 16-24” from day 3-4 and IN. I think we ALL myself included take these computers to serious. I believe Rain posted earlier , as fun as this is…. We may have TOO MIVH MUCH data and over analyze every time detail

I wonder if a "day chase" to GSO or RDU via train would be worth it or not for this storm, like I go up there early in the morning, chill the entire day and go back in the evening if possible.

I can promise you GSO will be the place you want to be.
 
If you are a frustrated fan of snow and if you can, its worth taking a "snow tour". We left last Tuesday and flew into Jackson, WY and hung out for a couple of days. Drove to West Yellowstone, MT and spent the day and then onto Bozeman for a day. Experienced some cold with actual temps dipping to -15F without windchill. So worth it. Hope y'all don't mind a couple of random pics?

Does Weathermodels.com have the newer AI models? Think I may to ahead and blow some money for a month’s subscription and am trying to decide between them and WeatherBell. I’m pretty sure WB has the AI, but it’s also double the price so would rather buy WM unless it’s missing those. Open to other suggestions, too.

It’s tough because the freebie maps are so much better than they used to be, but with a potential big storm on the horizon it may be time.

I guess we’re always just one model run from back …. But yea, I miss my crippling ice storm at point. I get some of you in here are scared to death of freezing rain and think freezing rain will
Always create a MadMax warzone where we’re All going insane and fighting in the streets for Canned corn bc the power has been out for 36 minutes but yea. The same sentence “Durrrr I’d prefer 33 n rain oppose to that there models unrealistic output of Rain” “Lights out” “Yikes” like Goodlord …. It will NEVER play out like these Models show FRZN wise. Just cringe the same comment typed 100x by 100 ppl. Like we get it you’re afraid of the dark.

Well CJ just said in his video that this is “likely” the last chance for most of us for winter. I believe it. I guess just give me an inch and let’s move on to next year’s failure.
 
The NAM is dead, this isn’t 2016 anymore folks , the NW trend is dead, and so is the NAM. The NAM is now in the same boat as the rgem, and those dwarf sister models jimmy talks about… garbage
