And here I thought that moving to Statesville would result in better snow days. This winter has been a big tease to Iredell in general.
Gonna have to get to like Taylorsville lol

I'd be more willing to be happy for others if I had had an actual snow storm in the last 7 years. At some point I'd like to see snow tooSee I can respect this…. Be honest, all these ppl “Awww we’re all friends here I hope you score buddy” is just fake to me lol![]()

Bingo.I mean I hope for all to score, but when push comes to shove I am definitely rooting for what is best for MBY. But it's certainly more fun to share in a big winter storm with others on the board rather than it being very isolated. If that means others mix or are fringed, then it is what it is. I may be more charitable if I had already had 20" on the season, but I haven't seen 20" of snow total in the last decade. The good news is that what we want to happen doesn't have any effect on what actually happens, so we can all wish for whatever we want!
@SD , I wouldn't mind another shift SE, too. Verbatim, the Euro is amazing here just on the right side of the sleet line, but I'd rather have a little more wiggle room.

What if all these ppl cooler heads prevail …. We go another 30 miles SE then get that NW trend Circa Late Jan lol I mean I think we can both hit then. But yea after chilling out a bit you’re right, ppl on 77 or directly east FOR NOW Look to atleast have maybe a 2-4” event. Which again we’d be jumping for joy on Thursday / Friday had that been the deal

Yeah, if we had the snow climo of New England, I could understand sneezing at 2-4", but a lot of us haven't seen 2-4" of snow in years, so I think we gotta take what we can get. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see the 12z Euro come to fruition and for the snow to pile up to the better part of a foot, but I have to keep expectations in check and a 2-4" warning criteria event would be fine.
Its over Ross, its gon blast central-southern wake with cirrus over richmond.... the SE trend is real and mean and will not stop anytime soon. SE trend is the new NW trendmy euro ens # has been halved in 18 hours
I can promise you GSO will be the place you want to be.I wonder if a "day chase" to GSO or RDU via train would be worth it or not for this storm, like I go up there early in the morning, chill the entire day and go back in the evening if possible.
They are too far nw, even RDU is too far NW. I would do fuquay-garner-to zebulon as the jackpotI can promise you GSO will be the place you want to be.
The way the winter has gone for our area, I’m going to expect little to nothing and hope for a surprise. This current trend might come in handy for Charlotte/east and especially Raleigh later. Just a fwiw
How much more SE before its problematic, we are three days out with no signs of stopping... Western triangle is on edge now as well. This current trend might come in handy for Charlotte/east and especially Raleigh later. Just a fwiw
Weathermodels UI is less than desirableDoes Weathermodels.com have the newer AI models? Think I may to ahead and blow some money for a month’s subscription and am trying to decide between them and WeatherBell. I’m pretty sure WB has the AI, but it’s also double the price so would rather buy WM unless it’s missing those.
Yeah, I know WB has some purdy maps so may just pinch my nose and fork over the “big bucks”. Snow ain’t cheap!Weathermodels UI is less than desirable
NGL this is disappointing
Way this winter is going. Give me warmer temps and thunderstorm threats.
And don’t wish for a SE trend so your area can get in on the action! I have gotten some clown face reactions View attachment 169693
Awesome, I'm gonna need one of them meteograms for KIXA, thanks.Yeah, I know WB has some purdy maps so may just pinch my nose and fork over the “big bucks”. Snow ain’t cheap!
EDIT: Bit the bullet for WB.
Yep, ever so slightly warmer putting more folks in rain. RDU right on the line. The NAM is gonna be the death knell for us isn't it?
The NAM is the exact result of we wanted a “amped” up storm![]()
