Misc Cold Season Complaining

Yeah my first freeze is coming Thursday November 28th which is the latest 1st freeze since records began. Even though most winters here the last 10 years have been above normal overall , I’ve managed way more snow then I did from 2006-2014. 2015-2023 has given me some absolute banger winters. 3 of the last 4 have produced 8 or more inches of snow with two of them at 12 or more inches and one banner year of 20 inches 3 years ago. I’ve had four winters straight of 2 or more inches with last winter giving me around 8 so I’m probably seriously due for some dud winters.😂

The Days Inn 5 day business planner! I remember watching it every hour to see if it updated from the last hour to show more snow.

I really wish we had a weather channel like that now. All of this instantaneous access to such an overwhelming number of products and amount of data takes some of the anticipation, excitement, the mystery out of it, which takes some of the fun away. It almost makes it more stressful and more aggravating now.

Weather Nation is pretty similar to what TWC used to be. It doesn't have to all star cast of Sharon, Christina, Rich, Paul, and Dave and Jim, but its pretty good.

It's so sad what The Weather Channel has become. I used to watch it for hours every single day. Now I only watch it when there's a Blizzard or Hurricane.

Yeah that's probably part of the reason I hated the last two winters so much... it was the model hype that never verified not so much how little it snowed

Like look at next week we've already been watching it for a week it seems like and it's still a week away...

The latest GFS run begs you to jump PDS warning now. Also, whoever picked "December Dud" as the title is probably going to look like a genius.
 
Ok, I’m a believer in cooler than normal temps now. It’s probably happening. Cold enough to probably snow if it’s times just right the next week or so. Just waiting for the western ridge to retrograde west and not be so far east. Looks dry so far, too progressive.

But I’ll take a cool, colder December as a win. It’s been a minute.
