Misc Cold Season Complaining

One day it’ll be “big 35dbz death band approaching the upstate and SW NC”
 
Just a dumb observation... but it seems like the cut off reaching in to the pacific ocean equals not captured and no storm or maybe a weak storm.... if the cut off occludes and stalls around the baha pennisula before shifting east... then we get a Euro AI bomb solution... if it doesn't full occlude or stall then we get a spire/gfs solution where a mixed bag of stuff can happen like the GFS and spire show.

It's every man for themselves. If it means someone gets screwed so that I get snow then so be it . Its the best time of year where we all get excited about possibilities and get along up until the last 24 hours then its WWE . If it means a storm cuts through southern Georgia and rains over Jimmy's house in order for me to be happy then rain away 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah, while it wasn't really "that" much, I think I'm OK on the ice. Would typically say that I'd be fine with getting a half inch, but there are still weakened trees around.

And the AI Euro was just cold rain.

Won't be able to stay up this time I don't think, but part of me thinks I'm going to be waking up and saying so long to the storm tomorrow.

The weaker, colder solutions are still on the table. I'm hoping for something a little quicker and less amped. However, I must admit that thoughts of a perfectly placed storm with the TPV going negative tilt as today's ICON and CMC almost pulled off just won't go away in my mind.

I can do without a half inch of ice. The 2014 I’ve storm ruined a lot of good pine stands in my area and we don’t need it again. I would take yesterdays 12z GFS run even cut in thirds

I'd prefer the weaker colder solutions at this lead . Lighter smaller events always seem to over preform. I'd much rather worry about precip and have the Temps vs getting .75 of qpf from an amped storm that blasts the 850 Temps

I see you are in Augusta. I have been saying this is our year for a bad ice storm since we are still recovering from Helene. Mother nature seems to throw things at us in bunches.😝
 
Heres a sobbering reminder. This is the Gfs forecast for this Sunday night into Monday nights event coming up. Made 8 days in advance.

Still looks just like this today. Except you need to move the southern extent of pretty colors from nc/sc line up to central northern Virginia.

Different animal coming up, but they always wiggle their way north

Throw a dart at this point. Much suffering ahead for quite a few on here I’m afraid. Someone’s gonna be extremely pleased with the outcome and it’s probably not my neck of the woods. “Giddy up”as a long time poster used to say.
 
Genuinely amazed at how some of these runs (CMC) have just been laser-focused on the immediate gulf coast. Don’t recall seeing so many runs like that before. Pretty cool to see.

Just ride the wave. Letting each model run control your emotions throughout the day is part of the fun. Idc what anybody says. We all do it and that’s fine. Weather induced schizophrenia
