Obviously I hope so! That would be one less potentially huge headache to have to deal with. I consider a strong El Niño a blessing in that sense.

However, more than likely per history there will be 1-2 MH, but hopefully nowhere near here! Usually with a strong El Niño, the steering is more favorable than average to avoid direct big hits to the SE US coast due among other things to a weak mean Bermuda High, although the US Gulf coast is less protected than the SE coast. Also, Outer Banks to NE US sometimes not as well protected.
