You'd think with this southerly flow we could get some storms.
It's a sad waste of some good shear too.Geez what’s the struggle been with getting deep convection, just lower topped crap
We’ve seen this before, departing high, big cutter, Wilkes onset ice@Lickwx you should start the September thread. It might start with your favorite weather ?

I see that high over New England. That doesn’t look positive at all. Bad news if you like storms , seems with these y’all always start talking about thunderstorms but all that ends up happening is 64/64 degree rains with 15 mph breezes out of the ne that make it feel like it is actually 52 degrees .
i can do names too u don’t see me filling up the disc board tho because Of my dignity
"Ignoring Content By This September"Sis Sassy September. Sure thing September. Say it ain’t September. Shut up September. Sit down September. She said what September. Shhh it’s September. Silly goose September. Saw her donut ?? stop
My first trip up here was early June, and a tropical system was racing up through here, it was 59 degrees, rainy and breezy! It was my introduction to Iowa weather, I was chilled to the bone! That was 2 in the afternoon!Swamptember?
Yeah that euro setup is 60s-70s with drizzle/ rain
I support this message bc it's been bone dry.ShetTember
As long as it's dryWednesday through Friday look miserable.
Summers last gasp. Much cooler air on the way in about a week.Wednesday through Friday look miserable.
Only real sign of rain will be the remnants of Laura. I guess a few randoms could pop up during the afternoon but even that looks mehAs long as it's dry
Yeah but me thinks that might be short lived and more tied to the influence of Laura getting into the flow. Negative AAM will lead to a more nina like pattern and we are already seeing the subtropical ridging winning even with the forecast of Laura as it has shifted so far west. I think once we get the brief cool down post Laura the first 10 days of September will suck in the same fashion they have sucked the past few years. Now if the AAM forecasts are correct and we see increasing AAM moving through September we may be looking at our first really fall like stuff in the 2nd half of the month.Summers last gasp. I know there have been years when we saw our first big cold front in Mid September. So im hopeful this is one of those years.Yeah but me thinks that might be short lived and more tied to the influence of Laura getting into the flow.
