GFS and GEFS (yeah yeah i know) have at least a hint of a cooldown in the 8-10 day range. And by cooldown I mean low to mid 80s outside the elevated areas.

Yep, the highest recorded wind gust ( non tornado) was recorded yesterday in Iowa, 112 MPH, old record was 109 in 2009 or there abouts!
