...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM CDT
FOR ST. HELENA...EAST CENTRAL EAST FELICIANA AND NORTHEASTERN EAST
BATON ROUGE PARISHES...

At 313 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Gillsburg, or
12 miles north of Greensburg, moving south at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Greensburg, Montpelier, Darlington, and Easleyville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
windows.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Wait... tennis ball sized hail?? That's going to be a bad day for vehicle windshields. Prayers for those in the path of this thunderstorm.
