Pattern August is the worst month of the year and it's not even close thread

..
StormNet seems to think there's a pretty decent chance of damaging winds around ATL in the 10-11pm timeframe

Storms up here have been intense. Last few runs of the HRRR drop the hammer on ATL. Here's the latest HRRR at 3z (11pm). That line could even make a run for Macon before it dies out.

Wow, that gust front is legit. 45mph gusts at ATL well ahead of the main line of storms. Radar doesn't lie.

The Op's are outright cooking again ( especially 0z Euro ) at the tail end of their runs. Has it hotter here locally on 9/1 as it is today. Ugh...

The CFS has us in the low to mid 50's for lows Labor day weekend. But its still way to warm for anyone's liking until we get to the 2cnd weekend of September ( a month away ) and get some lows in the 40's.

Best I can do for us today.

Flying today for the first time since this BB was born! Especially because I haven’t flown in so long, flying is still fascinating to me and I’m always at a window looking out! On way to CO, 1st stop is in Detroit, my first time in Michigan. The views of W Lake Erie, my first time seeing Erie, were awesome. Noting the fair wx cumulus over land areas due to heating in the early afternoon while mainly clear over the cooler lake:
