NWS shows normal to slightly above normal temps with slightly below normal precipitation over the next 8-14 day period for the majority of the southeast.
That rainfall outlook is rather unfortunate.
Still warm but man I wish someone in the public eye would pick it up and run with it. I'm sure NOAA won't do anything.

We'll be fine. All next week looks to be below average for many of us. The Labor day heat is too far out to have a handle on but upper 80s to low 90s would be pretty normal. This has been a hot week but last week was very pleasant for mid August. Most of us have little room to complain about the heat this summer; we have been quite pleasant compared to many; some folks have had 100+ for weeks on end. GFS numbers have been way too high for us this summer so take those with a spoonful of salt. We're 9 days away form met fall; it's coming.

Looks very wet in some areas. I guess that's assuming tropical activity ?

It’s kind of interesting to me that with all that rain there would still be above normal temps which is shown in the temp map.
Scattered showers and storms so plenty of dry time to warm up and it’s still summer.
