Pattern Ablazing August

Gonna have storm Collison here soon. Storms coming up from the seabreeze and some coming down from the NW. Theeybwill either kill each other or morph into a big sloppy mess rainmaker. I'm betting on them killing each other.

15.32 for the summer. May as well go ahead and put that in the books with only 10 days left because I don't do convection!

1. That's impressive for a typically rainless location as that is ~4" above normal for 6/1-8/20.

2. Meanwhile, the abode of @pcbjr is making history with its heavy summer rainfall as its 31.32" through now is already in 5th place with 11 days yet to go!

2021 31.32" as of now
1953 31.84"
1949 31.95"
1965 32.55"
2017 39.35"

So, all Hogtown needs is 1.24" and it would become the 2nd wettest on record going back to 1891! I think Phil may need a bigger boat. Normal through August 20th is ~19".

Absolutely it's pretty good totals for the year. But you have to consider half of that came from Fred and one evening of convection. Take that away (which I know that's not how it works) you have about 8 inches. It's just the inconsistency around here with rain here that gets me going. It's nothing to go 10+ days without rain here several times a summer while areas very close by get consistent rain. I wish I knew why that was the case!
