Pattern Ablazing August

Think this stuff is preliminary to maybe a solid band like we had last night coming from the north and west through southward .. thinking later this evening around 6 or so

You a student at NCSU? Cuz the station is that fancy fancy spot they opened up 2 years ago . Lots to students live there .

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of east central Wake
and northeastern Johnston Counties through 445 PM EDT...

At 342 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Clayton, or 10 miles southeast of Raleigh, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Smithfield, Garner, Clayton, Zebulon, Knightdale, Selma,
Wendell, Emit and Flowers.

So if we don’t get a hurricane to alter the pattern, does that put us in a fall ‘16 redux where it didn’t cool off until November? :(

* AT 403 PM EDT, A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED OVER CLAYTON, OR 9 MILES NORTH OF SMITHFIELD, MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

HAZARD...60 MPH WIND GUSTS AND PENNY SIZE HAIL.
