Pattern Ablazing August

Had a quick tropical downpour come thru campus earlier. Around 80F rn and sticky humid
 
The good news is the absolute hottest time of the year is over. The bad news is, the step downward is very slow until about mid-September. In fact, in late August, the drop off is often only about 2 degrees from the peak of summer. But, we will get there.
We are only 2 weeks from September. That's a reason to celebrate. Yes September can still get hot but you are much more likely to get cold fronts in September.
 
CHA is up to 7.12" of rain so far in August with 2 weeks to go. Currently it is the 8th wettest August on record (and wettest since 1975), and today we broke the record for most days in August with 1" or more precip. I thoroughly enjoy rain in the summer so this is great! More please! :D
