Looks like a tornado is on the ground through Florence AL. Multiple power flashes on live cam

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HUNTSVILLE ALABAMA HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
SOUTH CENTRAL JACKSON COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN ALABAMA...
CENTRAL DEKALB COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN ALABAMA...

* UNTIL 245 AM CDT.

* AT 201 AM CDT, A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO
WAS LOCATED OVER POWELL, OR NEAR RAINSVILLE, MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH.

HAZARD...TORNADO.

SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED ROTATION.


* THIS DANGEROUS STORM WILL BE NEAR...
SYLVANIA, POWELL, AND RAINSVILLE AROUND 205 AM CDT.
FORT PAYNE AROUND 210 AM CDT.

OTHER LOCATIONS IMPACTED BY THIS TORNADIC THUNDERSTORM INCLUDE
DUTTON, PINE RIDGE, MENTONE, DESOTO STATE PARK, VALLEY HEAD,
HAMMONDVILLE, AND LITTLE RIVER CANYON NP.
 
HRRR is really struggling this morning with the evolution of the line of storms. It seems way too slow with the northern edge

Yeah, the storm that looks like it's going to push through in the south metro looks kinda nasty.

It's bowing out some.
 
West Midtown. (2) flashes of Lightning, heavy rain, gusty winds but no where near 60 mph.

Based on my sis’ reports, it appears that much of the Sandy Springs to Buckhead area likely got at least 1” in a short period from this. Roads were bad in some areas. Not much lightning but windy. No hail.
 
Definitely didn’t expect to see an observed tornado this morning this close to Atlanta. This area was maybe in a marginal risk from SPC

Me either I mean technically my parents are in Alabama and it was past them but like I thought we moved onto a flood entirely and then I see a confirmed tornado whoops 🤣
