Right at 11 temp right around 32, and light sleet has started. Forecasted timing been pretty spot on

It’s a whiteout outside. Couple inches on ground and winds 20-30 mph. All this after a high of 65 today
Ok Bama I-20 folks, that cold press better hurry. I’m so used to having the rug pulled my arse has carpet burns.

I hope Zander made it to Ellijay. We’re in Cherry Log, GA. I’ll post some pics in the morning. We seem to be right on the good screw/bad screw line here based on the models. I’m sure we’ll do better than our hometown of Tuscaloosa. Heavy rain here currently. Hope my Bama folks fair well with this storm. Sorry for my Clyde May’s induced ramblings. I don’t post much, but I do appreciate the folks on this forum!

It must be pouring there in central TN considering all the road stickage. Saw the interstates in the Nashville area are covered from traffic cams!
CHA down to 39 as of 12:25am - 22 degree drop in 125 minutes!
Over 2 inch mean for RDU on 00z gefs … not happening ? funny to look at though

Roads here are still good. I can see US Highway 72 and traffic is moving at normal speed. Next band getting ready to move in. 30 degrees.
sleet mixing in now, 35.4 here. CHA airport down to 37

Yeah up to 5.1 inches now. 18 inches on the season for what has been a stellar winter here.

changeover complete - all snow now. took about 30 minutes or so. winds died off almost completely while it was sleeting, and then came roaring back when it transitioned to snow. probably pushing 35+ gusts right now. near blizzard conditions

About 2 inches or so looks like. I haven’t measured. It just keeps pouring though so hoping for maybe another inch.

Just letting everyone know that the Radarscope app is showing snow in Cherokee County, Alabama but it is still in the form of rain. I really hope to see that change soon. If not for my children, I wouldn't care as much but they want to see snow so bad they can't stand it up so I hope they get there wish come morning.

3/4" on the deck already in 30 minutes, so 1.5" per hour rates

I measured several locations and got between 2-2.5 inches. It’s kinda difficult to get a good reading with all the wind blowing around we had. It’s starting to wind down. Solid storm for March. The insane wind is something I’ll never forget. Good luck to those east of me. I hope y’all get to experience some of this March Snow!

All snow now. This wind is no joke.
1.5" on the deck now, about an hour after changing over. heaviest DBZ on radar has pushed east of here, so should be lighter rates here on out
