Reminds me of a video where someone animated the tornado siren as sentient. Spooked led me when I was a kid.Perfect example!View attachment 195948
Already got a weak meso on the cell NW of Gainesville.I am quite surprised by how many rotating storms have occurred today as it is only just after noon. I wonder what will happen across NE GA and into NW SC/SW NC as new development pops up in an environment with additional decent low-level hodograph curvature. The other interesting thing to me is how embedded all of those supercells are in stratiform precipitation over Alabama, and despite that, they have clearly been tornadic at times.

This thing went basically right over my house, and I foolishly left to move southeast, as I expected it to track to the south. From my vantage point, it was just a gradual darkening in the low level stratus or stratocumulus clouds, which were fairly low and moving SWLittle bit of rotation near Mountain Park. Has a small hook too.View attachment 196115
. As the precipitation began, the clouds pushed east and it became lighter, but I couldn’t make out much discernible rotation due to the low level clouds seeming to obscure much of the features immediately above the ground. The photo is looking SW about 5 minutes before it moved over (as I left it).Heck of a wrapped up storm. Gonna have more tornadoes out if this goofy setup almost in May than normal severe weather season.Tornado down in SE Alabama. About 10 miles NE of DothanView attachment 196152
Interestingly enough the sun just came out where I’m at and were up to the low 80s now.Not sure anything is gonna happen in Atlanta today. Cloudy and in the low 70’s. Could almost say it’s a bit chilly out with the breeze
