Maybe the fact that the tropics are starting up early means there will be more named storms and stronger ones this upcoming year.

NE of the islands. It gets to just north of Hispaniola. 2 months earlier and it would be a cane
It would take it a while to turn tropical if it did at all. Right now it’s just a stacked extratropical ULL.
