A lot of clouds in places right now; will be intersting to see if they persist and the effect on heating. At noon its 69 at AVL, 72 at GSP, 74 at ATL, 77 at CLT, 78 at CAE, and 81 at RDU and CHS, with Eastern areas having more sun.

Wilmington has hit 86 so far. RDU 82 , clouds beginning to creep in though so hitting 85 and breaking the record is going to be a race for it . Wouldn’t shock me if we finish at 83-84

Looks like the raw METAR was 29C, which is indeed 84F, but it could have been as low as 28.5C (it rounds up) which is less than 84F. We will see if RAH says anything

Goes both ways. Could be as high as 29.4C which is about 85F which is what RAH counted at RDU

75 at the house and thick clouds so looks like I will be able to escape those 80's this week as I topped out at 78 yesterday.

Looks like we may have won hi temp of the day here at PGV....new all time high set old was 84

Got 2 big rains yesterday afternoon/evening.

I've never seen Spring sprung so early. I mean its Feb 24 and most everything is blooming out. Bradford pears, Buttercups, Forsythia. All the willow trees are out along with several others. Usually is march 24th and beyond/ early April to get where we are at right now. And that use to be considered early.

They missed the forecast by about 8 degrees today but was nice afternoon for some yard work and some shad

Morning fog / low clouds mixed out by mid-afternoon, giving way to partly sunny skies.

Temps also surged to a high of 78*F at DFW.
