It's likely going to be. The gfs may be doing gfs things here. I'll gladly be wrong but I'd pump the brakes. I think the better shot may end up being Christmas day or the following 2 days

Still sucks but when ensembles agree and ensembles from other models agree on the same general overall pattern .. maybe it is on to something .. or maybe not .. either way we will see a different solution in 6 hours

With this blocky pattern it was only a matter of time before we got a weenie run and it's only a matter of time before most of us score a winter storm. I don't anticipate it will be a GFS type of score but anything is possible. Lots to work out between now and then, models will fluctuate and I doubt this will be the last weenie run.
