Misc 2021-22 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

Watching on CC mode. I'll see if any light rain falls from the returns moving toward Atlanta. Maybe it's not all virga?

Well if the mesoanlysis page is right; evaporative cooling if anything was actually there I would think. No ground truth in theory; let us know though.
 
Yeah I think if you’re from AL and more so GA climo is just against you. The rug pull is inevitable. The mountains shield us. The cold press is too much or not enough. Western portions of the Deep South have a much better shot than we do.

It’s pointless for us to even look at anything more than 5 days out that gives us the goods.

Definitely. Seems like a lot of the chances we’ve had recently are cold air chasing moisture which doesn’t work. CAD keeps us cool but only for ice in the NE metro but nothing more. When we truly get cold everything gets suppressed to where we’re never really in the ballpark.
