Misc 2021-22 Fall/Winter Whamby Thread

For some reason, my internal map always had Mooresville in the foothills over yonder towards Asheville. But I was looking at a map for something else recently and realized I had completely mixed them up with Morganton. How silly of me. ?‍♂️
 
I hope the severe weather this spring is nonexistent! Don’t understand why people root for death and destruction! Been enough over the winter already! ?
 
I would probably prefer a normal spring.

Some wet weather mixed in, with days like that day recently where it was in the mid-60s and cloudy after the rain finished up, but not too many of those days.

Need to declare a state of emergency NOW. Birdhouses high in the tree line will be uninhabitable for a few days due to heavy ice accrual. Make sure to throw seed out onto the carport so the Carolina wren don’t starve. Details coming later.

Dang Jimmy. I didn't think about the wrens, and I'm low on bird seed! I'm so unprepared. ?
 
People are coming to finally pour the dern concrete around the pool in a little bit. It's drizzling. It's only acceptable to delay work for wintery precip. Helloooo..? Where is the sheild when I need it? :rolleyes: Was hoping for those to the east to get something interesting though. Looks like some are! ?

Workers are pulling up now!!!!! Wow! In the dark! Guess the drizzle is ok.

They sure don't or at least they didn't last time I was there. I used to stay on that side when I worked up here at Mcguire. Have since started to stay on the west side of Norman. Got a good friend and Lincolnton and the traffic ain't near as bad.

McGuire nuclear station? I worked there for a little while.
 
Def need an upgrade to ice storm warning for Wilkes/Yadkin/Iredell some trees coming down but lesser torwards Mooresville/huntersville/Charlotte. Some pockets approaching 0.2”~

When I was still working at Davidson, I was driving between Morganton and Davidson for a while. I was stopped on 150 one morning when they made that noise they make to scare the birds off the reactor towers. Scared the daylights out of me.
