We had March tornado then Covid, then AT&T bomb. I’m seriously wondering just what is going on. Things have got to get better at some point.

RIP Brodie Lee

It is absolutely shocking.to see Brodie Lee (aka Luke Harper at WWE) pass during the prime of his career at only age 41 and illustrates well the fragility of life even at a young age. I had noticed that he hadn't been on AEW in recent weeks despite the rest of the "Dark Order", the group he was leading, still being on there. His character was of a very intimidating big man. This was in stark contrast to him in real life. The following shows how much he was loved, and he was especially remembered as a great father and husband as per the numerous tributes to him here:

The wrestling world mourns the loss of Brodie Lee (espn.com)

@SD or anyone else, I can't find the wrestling thread. I think @Brick Tamland started it but I'm not sure. I keep looking for it. I'd like this to also be in there. Thank you.

May Brodie Lee (real name Jon Huber) rest in peace.

Edit: I found the pro wrestling thread and just posted in there.

A lot of pro wrestlers have died in their forties. Hate to say it, but steroid/HGH abuse is probably the main cause. A big problem with powerlifters at the elite level as well. Also, NFL Linemen to a lesser extent.

Yeah, many have died young. Steroids/HGH have unfortunately likely contributed to many of these early deaths, but most also get badly banged up over and over. That takes its own toll.

In this case, it said he died of a non-Covid lung issue. Could that have been related to steroids/HGH?

Pulmonary embolism, possibly.. But who knows.

Do you work in healthcare? I do work at WellStar and Emory and I’m curious as to when they will make us take it.

Sorry just saw this. Yeah I’m a physician at Kaiser. I am sure you will get it very soon.

His Wikipedia says he had a lung infection but I suppose that could be a mistake:

“Huber died at the age of 41 on December 26, 2020. His wife stated that he had been treated for a lung infection at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.”

Also, note he had been tweeting daily through 10/7, the day of his last match, a very intense “dog collar” match with Cody Rhodes. There were no more tweets after 10/7.

I thought we had a politics thread here but I can't find it. Also can't find the thread about the Nashville bombing.
