About time to watch some webcams while I drink and cry.
The total snow fall at Grand Rapids so far this winter season is just 0.4". Going back to 1900 there has only been one year that has gone this late without Grand Rapids having had at least 1" of total snow fall and that winter season was 1998/99. So of course the year I move here (further south, near Kalamazoo) this is what happens lol.
Also, if Grand Rapids has a green Christmas this year that would be the 3rd one in a row and in the recorded history of Grand Rapids that would be the first time that would have happened, according to a local in the area weatherboards.
Nice. I have a feeling this won't be my last complain. Seems like everywhere near me (other than the southeast and chicago) has cashed in on something. The southern snow chase curse is real!

At least we aren't torching in December like most recent years. This December likely will qualify as below normal for 1991-2020 averages for much of the SE.

Did another cold water swim yesterday. 11 minutes outside in only shorts with 3 different excursions into the water during that period . Air temp was 42

Juxtaposition January....compare and contrast the fantasy snow maps two weeks out, to what actually happens(probably a brisk cold rain or 70's and sunny).

Deficient December sounds awesome.
Normal people scare the hell out of me. It’s normal people that can’t handle it when garbage keeps piling up and they get steamrolled by life. The “normal” ones are the people that grab a rifle, climb to the top of a clock tower, and channel their inner Charles Whitman.
