Is that what stopped you ? Never too late !
Women alcohol and poor decisions stopped me. I finished a good part of my broadcast stuff from Miss State after I graduated from State. I'm doing pretty well for myself in the professional world so I'm good with this as a hobby

Poor math skills and the low average pay stopped me. But the same end result for myself as well. I enjoy what I do along with good pay, benefits and state retirement is a great trade off. Looking back, I think I would have ended up hating what I loved. Keeping weather as a hobby keeps it fun.

Fair enough lol. The 2019 tornado in Zebulon came insanely close to wrecking my house, as in on the road leading into the subdivision close ! 2011 missed me 3 miles to the north , hurricane last decade have been mediocre . Matthew though had people out of power here for a couple weeks though. I won’t change though . Trust me !
Weren't you like 3 years old at that time?

Same , when I realized I’d be spending my entire day on computers with software I realized it wasn’t the glamorous career it seemed to be .

I’ve had a lot of internal debate about this. I really love educating people around me about weather but idk
For what it's worth, if you start at Meteorology and decide you're not into it, whatever school you go to will likely have lots of other options. You sound like a smart guy, which is a plus. Not all people that go to college are smart. (You'll find that out whenever you get assigned group projects)

Yeah, I had to learn that with the program I’m taking. I truly was surprised considering these students are supposed to be motivated. We would have written discussions that everybody could view, and a good chunk of kids wouldn’t even capitalize their letters at the beginning of a sentence. I don’t think I ever saw the class get average grade above a C on the charts.

Wait till you work on a group project, and a guy turns in his assigned section that's 3 pages long, but only one paragraph. ? And that was a Junior level class...

Back in the 1940s, my father was forced to leave NCSU by his parents due to "Wine, Women and Song." I think the final straw with his parents was when he sold all of his text books for beer money. My grandparents made him attend a local business college, which led to a career in radio broadcasting.
