Hopefully this will lighten up the mood. These pictures are from 3 years ago today. This was the biggest and heaviest snow I’ve experienced since living in Tennessee. I remember the models started showing the cold getting here 6 hours earlier than originally forecasted. We started off as freezing rain around midnight and then switched to heavy snow around 7:00 Am. Most of this snow fell in 6 hours so we had about 2 inch per hour rates. I also remember Memphis busting hard as they were expecting big amounts but only got a dusting. Whatever went wrong for them ended up being perfect for Middle Tennessee as it was Nashville’s biggest snow since 2003.
