Misc 2019 Banter & Friendly Conservation

Now You've Done It. All this talk and bull hockey. Tell me not to worry about the op models. Tell me its the "Ensembles" is what we need to follow. "Ensembles" is where it's at. They,THEY will Tell the Tale. Horse Dookey!!!

Soon as the op runs start to show something remotely resembling the ensembles 2 runs in a row. Start the thread!!! Start the thread. We got this shizzel. "Its Happening". Fire that thread up. Its Only 7 days away. HA!!!!

Soon as the thread is started BAMM!!!. "Ensembles" Say Ha Ha, we got you now. Lets torch this thing.

Oh,OH But wait the op still have a storm. Its good. We still have time. "NW Trend is our Friend" Until its not... I just don't understand how you think we gonna get Snow. We in the South. We have to "thread that needle" just right.

It could still happen... AS IF!!!

Let this be a Hard learned truth.

Never,NEVER Ever!! Start a thread for a Southern Snow Storm before it is within 5 days of this so called Event. Save everybody a little hardache and just don't do it...

This is all met as fun. Not calling anyone out or meaning to offend anyone.

Lol

Curious... and don’t get me wrong... but James Spann mentioned on fb a clipper???? For next weekend. I fully realize that things can change for bust or boom in no time ... and that 7 days out is quite a long time especially forecasting winter precipitation in the south... I was just puzzled as to why he mentioned clipper...??? Thoughts? I haven’t seen anyone on here mention clipper. Btw... I hold him in high regard so this is not a slam post by any means...

Isn't a clipper just nw flow type stuff? I don't think waves that crash into the west coast or dive in through Canada are "clippers".

To my knowledge it’s a system that originates near the Great Lakes and swings this way... often moisture starved....by the time it gets here

Then this definitely isn't a clipper as it's not originating near the Great Lakes.

Is it fair to say this isn’t a typical miller A. Instead it’s a northern branch storm? That perhaps could tap the gulf

Basically it’s a cold front we need to pop a low correct?

Clippers can be called Alberta or Canadian clippers due to them originating from that region. I believe they are from a dominant northern stream and do often lack a lot of moisture, unless they are able to interact with the Gulf of Mexico.

No.

Although some of the waves crash into the pacific coast, a lot of the traditional winter storms for the southeast originate from waves dropping in from Canada.

(Edit: Go ahead and move this to banter. This isn't the January thread)
