And you do the same. You've made several condescending posts directly aimed at my thoughts and did I respond to you? No. The real issue is you don't like my posting style - direct, concise and at times, dry. I'm not on here to make friends (or enemies), I just post what I see about the patterns, and I openly admit when I'm wrong. I was wrong 7 or 8 days ago with my ideas about the storm being further north, but even then I was not speaking in definitives. It's your job to handle yourself when you get offended about a non-personal post that isn't about you, not mine. I challenge you or anyone else to show me when I have instigated a back and forth exchange on something you've said - I let you do you, and me do me. It's really that simple.

Edit: And I did do that today, but that's what I meant by "some of your own medicine". Otherwise, I have been keeping to my own lane and trying not to step on your toes or thoughts.
 
Does anybody think Ron Rivera should have a job at the end of this year? I would like to propose a truce between 1300 and Webber along with a bet. The bet is they start their own thread (make it happen mods) with no one else allowed to post on it. Then they write their take on the next storm (whenever that is)with specific cities they must forecast the storm totals, track, and temps for in those cities 48 hours before the event. The winner gets a steak dinner at a Ruth Chris with the board picking up the tab for the winner, I'll start and chip in $25.00 for the winner. Cities are Atlanta, Charlotte, W-S, Raleigh, Huntsville, Upstate of SC, Knoxville, Roanoke.

Dude, I'm just going to say it, this is our unifying battle cry right here. I am 1000% in agreement with this. If we would actually get along, bring over a few leftover great posters from American, this would be the best weather forum going and the Southeastern American forum would fold like a cheap tent.

Yes I did and the reason I made those is it has a lot to do with your posting style which often comes across as really harsh/demeaning and our history plus how you respond to criticisms more than anything that bothers me. Quite frankly I shouldn’t be getting that mad about it because I do the exact same thing from time to time and let my emotions get the best of me.

Last night was fantastic - was really proud of the United fans for turning out and rocking MB stadium like they did! It's too bad Martino is leaving; maybe Blank could have made him the next Falcons head coach.
 
Has anyone tried to get griteater to post here? The Mountain thread over there is a good one.

I still post there during storms because there are so many more posters close to my backyard.

I feel the thread over here started going downhill a bit once we knew some regions in GA and SC were going to miss out. I know we don’t have any sub forums here, but it can be a little hectic with so many areas represented when we are trying to hone in on a threat.

My two cents for now.

For the first time in a long time I couldn’t agree more, there’s nothing more none of us here can’t stand than the SE US American wx mods and it would be a huge stepping stone for this forum if we get to watch that forum crumble to the ground. We’re lucky to have a place like this to compete with them and we should cherish it. Look, even if you’re not gonna say it or fully accept this I’m sorry for the way I’ve been treating you the last few years on here really and I do mean that. I’m gonna do my best to stay in my lane when needed, be more respectful, &/or supportive, if we have an issue with one another maybe it’s better settled in personal messages instead next time? While we may not become friends, we shouldn’t remain at each other’s throats like this and walking on eggshells so to speak 24-7-365 esp if we ever want this place to easily supersede Americanwx in the long run. Cheesy comparison perhaps but if the sworn bitter enemies of the US and Soviet Union could find a way to become allies in WW II for the good of dismantling the Nazis, we surely can’t find a way to come up with more common ground and at least get along (as you said).

The number one reason I asked to be a moderator here was because of what I saw happening to SE forum at American. I wanted to help make this forum the best it can be. We can have fun and discuss the weather while keeping the moderating fair and reasonable.

Getting griteater to become a regular here would be massive, he’s one of the few remanining posters over there that even make that place worth going to from time to time

I sincerely appreciate this, I accept your apology, and offer my own. I am sorry for the ridiculously mean things I called you and I am ashamed of myself for it. I am typing this with one hand and holding a sick toddler with the other - I have more to say and I will later but I am in total agreement with everything you said.

He is. He’s a CAD expert for sure. He’s the best moderator over there. I believe he got sick a couple of years ago and that’s when thing went downhill in the forum. He seems to be posting regularly again.
