I've spent umteen years in your shoes, always out side the farthest ring on the bullseye. Now, I guess I'm getting some pay back. I'm getting in the bullseye a lot since two Xmas's back, except for that 72 day no rain mini drought last summer. I poured out a half inch recently, then 1 3/8's, and had more this morning early, and there were 20 years at least where I'd get a tenth from those kind of storms.....or 32 drops....always on the outside looking in. It's gremlins fooling with the micro climates. Dragging them from here to there, and then giggling about it. We were going to sacrifice virgins, but it seem such a waste! We just got used to no water.
There is only one tiny shower on your map within 15 miles of me, and it's right over my house on this map, lol. Sometimes you're favored, some times your frucked.T

I'm going with frucked on this round ...
Good to hear from you my man! :D
Stay in touch ... :p

You just have to believe in what you are seeing :) Otherwise you might worry, lol. They're everywhere! T
We're everywhere!

Larry, Why can't you play it all back and record it onto your computer, or vcr? I just record straight to my computer via a tv tuner hooked to the cable....spliced off the out from the cable box, and over to my usb tuner. Got a 3 terrabyte drive to catch it all. Just have to stay up with burning, though I don't save that much. Did have the super bowl, but I can't see ever wanting to watch that again, unless I'm working up to shoot myself, lol. That wayI can burn them right away, if it's something I'd like to keep. As far as I can see you have a right to the recordings until the service is void. Why else let you save them and keep them in your home? T

Thanks. After giving up on transferring to my PC, I actually did decide to record on my VCR as I played each DVR recording. The only negative is that the quality is poor.

Good to see you back!

Well between the cells over the swamp fires, and I 85 reopening.. Looks like a pretty good day in GA..
Hats off to the "weather powers" and to GDOT and C W Mathews for the good work.. Six weeks and two days since the fire..I never would have believed it possible.

So I'm a Live PD fan, Friday and Saturday nights on A&E.... Well no wonder people don't like SC, Columbia has always got something popping off, crazy!

I saw it last weekend for the first time. I love the live aspect of the show. Very entertaining show showing how difficult a job cops have! Hopefully, this will help their image after all of the negative PR in recent years.

It's much better if you play it to your computer. You can get a good audio program and tinker all you want. I don't know how the dvr works, but if it plays thru your cable box, you can splice where it comes out, then over to a usb tv tuner set to cable. It decodes the tv and puts it on your computer as a mp.4. I don't think my tuner stick was more than 30 bucks on NewEgg. Hope the ice cream is good where ever your are :) Tony

Tony, thanks for the advice! I'm impressed with your knowledge about this stuff. You deserve 3 feet of sleet for sharing this!

The ice cream is good because I'm in the big S and not far from the beach!

Could not agree more if anything it gives you a real sense of the "mouth" people have and often times disrespect for LEO, these officer's (for obvious reasons they are after all on live tv) show real patience and restraint at times. It makes for great family night entertainment ;)

On a different topic, I spent all day Saturday in the great metro Raleigh area looking for a used vehicle for my youngest daughter. I've been through this car buying thing many times and must say it never gets easier. With all due respect and I'm not directing this at ALL salepersons and if anyone here is in this profession God bless you; but for the most part I'd rather have a root canal without anesthesia then deal with pushy salesman!

sounds like going to see some lawyers I know ... LOL

No.... pointing at you because you were funny not because I thought you were one of those attorney's.
I know - I'm just sitting here on some pain meds from the ortho (did a number on my shoulder over the weekend) and was just tossing some good natured you-know-what back ... :p

If you're on pain meds I'm lucky you didn't toss more than some good natured you-know-what.... haha. When I'm on pain meds well I'm not my self

It's all good ... until the 7th hour of 8 between doses ... and yes - censor me!

BTW -- My staff threw me out of the office until further notice ... LOL

9 and 10 year old baseball with the kids pitching is hard to watch. I think the kids would be better served still using the pitching machine until they get to 6th grade. The pitching is just to erratic at this age still, and the kids want to hit so they swing at everything just about. Very little hitting and fielding involved in most games. The kids usually only get one time at bat, two at the most. It's great for the pitchers to get practice, but overall I think the kids are actually learning less about the game and getting more frustrated and bored with it when pitching is used at this age.

Time at that age to man up! This is my sons first year at kids pitch and it's awesome ! Back in the day, we had no lame coaches pitch anyway. That the detriment to the game!! We went from t ball to machine ball to little league. So by 9, we were playing real baseball! Coaches pitch is lame because 95% of the coaches lob the ball in at 10 mph , which never lets them get better timing or coordination ! Just sad really! And they all get a " participation" trophy , win or lose!
Sad

I don't like coach pitch, either. But I think the pitching machine is still better for 9 and 10 year olds. Most of them are still not good enough to hit pitches, especially when they are erratic and most of the pitches are balls. I think it would be better to still work on the mechanics of the game, like hitting and fielding. The games with the pitching machines were much better for everyone. More hitting, more fielding, better flow. The only person really getting anything at this age is the pitcher. Just think two more years with the machine to get the mechanics and timing down would be more beneficial for the kids.

Damn do I miss winter and hoping ... just had to say it ... now back to regularly scheduled summer re-run programming ... o_O

This summer certainly is going to be fun, especially on those "Professional Dress" days where I might just end up wearing stuff that gets very hot.

It's not even feeling weird that I'm taking two block like morning classes, that might be because public school isn't quite out though but the only issues I have had are building back some stamina and forcing myself to sleep much earlier.

Holy cow - there is actually some strange liquid stuff falling from the sky and there's a rumble noise as it does so; my NWS calls this thing "rain". Vague recollection of that word ... :D

{Think I'll find an old Clapton tune - Let It Rain - to refresh my recollection}

It rained buckets here - 70+ mph wind gusts for a good 15 minutes. Felt like living in Florida during a tropical storm again ;) Unfortunately, my rain gauge was not mounted at the time. What a sorry weather spotter...

Hitting and pitching are both about making adjustments. 9&10 yr old was a great learning period for my son. What league do you play ? Little League or Dizzy Dean?

Our young cat (or older kitten) had kittens, and my dad told me they finally appeared today. He took pictures of them. Sorry but no pics right now. :( Maybe if he posts them on facebook (I could probably figure out how to upload pictures from that camera but I can't now).

It of course, won't be me just posting his facebook lol. I'll copy paste them and he'll be fine with it.

He says that the new slate of kittens from both female cats aren't as scared as other kittens were.
