Who's ready for Halloween? Can't wait to take the kids trick-or-treating tomorrow night. We hit our neighborhood, and then go down Main St with all the old historic homes are. It's awesome trick-or-treating there. I swear, they could use that street as the location for the new Halloween movie coming out next year.

Speaking of Halloween movies, I'm going to watch the original Halloween tonight. I am a huge fan of the original, and the others that followed were okay, not counting the Rob Zombies one. Can't wait for the new one next year since John Carpenter is one of the producers. And if you are a fan and haven't heard this rendition of the Halloween theme by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, you need to listen to it.

Reading back over the past few days of posts, some words come to mind. They are all related, but involve differing levels of discourse. Please allow me to share the words:
• Conversation - the informal exchange of ideas
• Discussion - the action or process of talking about something, typically in order to reach a decision or to exchange ideas
• Dialogue - a discussion between two or more people or groups, especially one directed toward exploration of a particular subject or resolution of a problem
• Argument - an exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one
• Castigate - rebuke, admonish, chastise, chide, censure, upbraid, reprove, reproach, scold, berate

and a thought:
The conversational/discussion/dialogue levels are the most enjoyable (in that order), and frankly, the most educational ... o_O
Now, so as not to intrude further, back to whatever it is I do ...

Only 696 hours away my friends. What could possibly go wrong with this!

Lmao
I trust the Euro but there should never be anything more detailed outside of climo/pattern stuff on weather models past 240. 240 is enough and after that's too long.

Here's one of my girl and I at the Canes game vs the Blues a few nights ago. Can't wait to play at PNC arena again this year for NC State's hockey team vs UNC Chapel Hill...

Yeah I have a massive forehead lol

My wife and I will be invading PNC again with our Charlotte Islanders Fan group for the game on 11/19. Had about 50 of us for one of the Saturday games last season...yet for some reason we never play well against the Canes. Hoping that changes in a few weeks.

I'm not going to lie to you guys, l am hoping this warm air stays until Nov. 17th and 18th. I have a two day Bass tournament in Gadsden al. and it is easy for me to fish without gloves and a heavy coat. Also flying down the lake at 60 or 70 mph in cold weather is not fun and l need all the help l can get when fishing anyway:(

Word for the day:
comity: courtesy and considerate behavior toward others.

Not to be confused with comedy ... LOL ...

I'm loving/hating it. Either the committee is trolling or they've set a precedent that unless you see an "Ohio State like brutal beating from 2014" in the SEC Championship Game, that they have to put in two SEC teams if both are 12-0 and make the rest of the nation mad at them.

Even early CFB playoff polls are pretty much fodder outside of seeing how the committee may possibly shake things out in the long haul, but that's what I see.

Beginning to think the same thing ... :(
Silent mode for the duration ... o_O
Please don't go silent. There are a few on here that come across as arrogant and down-putting to others. I don't think they are really that way but their posts sound that way at times. There are several people on here that are very knowledgeable and whose opinions I value greatly, but..... sometimes their responses can sting. This forum is for the masses and everyone can post their opinions. Baseless thoughts and opinions and IMBY questions do get old, but acceptance is what makes this the BEST forum going. Let's not change that.
As you can tell by my number of posts, I read way more than I type. My motto is "few posts and let them think I am ignorant, rather than many posts and remove all doubt".
Let's always keep it civil and not personal. Carry on.

Remember the days when you could depend on a Thanksgiving Storm that would change the pattern from warm to cold with possibility of snow for a lot of us. Is it to early for any signals of anything happening Thanksgiving weekend:rolleyes:
