Honestly it depends on where you are South of I-20. Some locations south of I-20 like Carrollton often do as good as places northeast of Atlanta like Gwinnett.

Wow.... This storm seems to have really fallin off in the last 12 hours.
Looks like GFS following suit, this is an interesting trend for Piedmont of NC
I don't get why anyone would be disappointed when this fails . Carolinas and Georgia have best shot. This setup still sucks now that it's digging so far to the SW . Gonna kill temps by pumping warmer air out front . This was never a good setup for anyone unless you believe 5 day out op runs.

Further north 5h low track is putting area's east of the apps with cold enough low levels for snow in the dry slot as the cold core moves over head. We need it tick back south 20-30 miles.
Some of our best snows come when it’s not snowing. I do like how that pocket is still on top of me in Gville..maybe

Yesterday we were counting on the 500mb low passing over the ark/la/tex region. Today all the models have shifted it nearly to Dallas, TX.
What can ya do? Only bright side is if they can be that far off within 48hrs, they can still be that far off when it's over our location too.

Agree with all of this ... however, we spend (or some would say "waste") our time living and dying on every model run. We shouldn't be disappointed, but alas, we will be disappointed! Somebody will do ok ... but there will be more losers than winners in this setup. And there is always the hope that something turns out better than expected ... which also will lead to more disappointment.
Setting up well for Roxboro, though.
Not the worst I have ever seen from Talking Rock to Blue Ridge and east to Blairsville even on that run. Hate the trends not being better today though.

I just don't think Maggie Valley will get more than 2-3". I hope i'm wrong.
Yeah, maybe a stronger longer is better for us on some backside flurries.

It's probably bogus but the RAP just obliterates my house Sunday morning in Pickens county.
