Wintry ❄The Christmas Miracle❄(12-24/12-25)

Yeah, almost all the time, in these types of events with light flurries, if there’s something showing up, it’s almost always under modeled. Take a look at the event a couple of Mondays ago. Not a single model showed anything IMBY, and I got some fairly substantial flurries!
Same here, crazy part is, the hrrr lost it as it got closer, then brought it back as it was happening, lol

I put together a brief video. Quick overview:

We are driving outside of Jasper, GA up Burnt Mountain Road, which ranges from approximately 1,300 ft to the peak of the road a little over 3,000 ft. (Compass app elevation on iPhone.) The first segment is leaving Jasper. Snow rain mix-more snow. The next segment is mostly snow and starting to stick on ground. Elevation around 1,700 ft or so. The last couple of segments are nearing the peak, around 2,700 ft and climbing. You can see it sticking to road. Got a little worried as temp was showing about 29. The last is a pic from our townhome ... dusting in Jasper.

Went on over the peak into Dawson Co and traveled down. Snow was not sticking on ground once we got below 1,600 feet or so. Not sure what they ended up with up on the mountain, but would guess approx 2 inches. Went on to Dawsonville, then Dahlonega, then back to Jasper. Those other locations did not end up with anything hardly sticking.

Maybe we will get a little something tonight. Good luck to all of you and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
