Pattern April Oven

My water bill is gonna be high trying to keep all these flowers and trees going strong.

Not gonna lie if this death ridge rolls poleward in a few weeks we may get some crazy seesaw action to close out April. Whiplash weather

I think the cold is still on the wrong side of the planet!?? Didn’t Antarctica hit like -110 degrees last week or something?? Waiting on the slosh! 🛀

I wouldn't have thought this possible:

Everywhere around RDU yes, but not at the airport.
Yeah, that shocked me! Think we blew the forecast low by like 4-6 degrees there! And we clock a later than average last freeze despite a general torchy start to spring!

Drought will be over and in reverse at warp spedd in 6 months. Till then have a garden hose handy this growing season
wouldn't be surprised to see whiplash that's essentially what last spring/summer were like in richmond

Something along the lines of what happened in 2002-2003. Much of 2002 was very dry then turning very wet in September and well on into 2003. Hopefully the change comes earlier this time.

Radar showing sea breeze type returns and it got kind windy and stormy looking here in the last hr. First time this season I noticed it. Really noticeable on ILM radar less so on MHX.

Due to the coastal geography of Long Bay (SC) and Onslow Bay (NC) we get some incredibly strong seabreeze boundaries pretty much every day from mid-late April through about the first week of August. Once the shelf waters warm up enough they reduce quite a bit. I'm talking 20 mph or more sustained as it roars inland past I-95. The seabreeze effect isn't anywhere near as strong further up in NC and further south into the lowcountry of SC and GA.

A neat thing is due to the shape of the coast there's a convergence zone right around Bolivia, NC where the boundaries collide. That area is almost guaranteed a seabreeze generated storm during the summer.
