Oh I don't argue or doubt they have tried many times. I didn't think that was much of a secret. I know people here who would love to change our weather haha

I hate our weather most of the year tbh ha

But our hottest years here are still from before LBJ was President

Hmmmm. I think the headline mixed up cloud seeding with SAIs? We definitely tried cloud seeding in the 60's (interesting topic actually, especially on the hurricanes). SAIs are different though. I think that's more global in scale and just a proposal. (Okay well, some might think it's been tried, but that's a rabbit hole, lol)

At least there's been no correlation to summer in the past...

Although this winter has been like a first time for a lot of stuff

I'm still amazed that we somehow hit our average snow in one weekend

A lot of places north and west of me still havent
 
I absolutely hate iOS 26!! I first had accidentally downloaded it on my iPhone 12 recently and it was awful on it. But my battery was only at 73% health. And I figured that the 12 was too old to handle it. So, I just got a 17 figuring it would be smooth like iPhones always were back to when I got my first one in 2009. Guess what? It is absolutely horrible. Getting a 17 was no help at all! It’s skipping around doing all sorts of weird things on its own. I don’t know how to describe it. This is angering me so much.

Does anyone else have iOS 26?

Yeah, I had to yell at someone on another forum that just because this general area had a brief snow doesn't mean that they haven't been baking themselves.

I mean, for Pete's sake, my uncle's snow pic clearly showed blooms at the same time.
 
Well Snowbird Bob has thrown in the towel on winter! Says the PV split happened and all the cold air went to the other side of the planet, so we all torch!
Thank god it’s over !! This winter was.a C in my book! Ready for 6 months of heat and corn sweats

Jokes on him I gave up on winter weeks ago

I really struggle to keep it a C too. The torch has been so overwhelming

I'm just ready to hope next winter is better. Besides one week it was pretty much a joke here

Next winter is supposed to be a mod- El Niño, I believe!? There’s a forecaster out of Omaha, NB I follow and he says there has only been one below normal snowfall winter during any El Niño! But the one in 23-24’ , absolutely sucked for Dubuque, so we shall see! My winter here was basically over 2 weeks before Christmas and 80% of my snowfall came from clippers!

Yeah last El Nino had the snow holes here 😩 but before this century it's been good here /s

Several people I know in Texas have been arguing their winters have changed for the bad so we'll see what happens. The 90s this week are just making that worse

It's not that it hasn't happened before it's the frequency of it happening lately I guess. How warm the shoulder seasons have been for years

On a weather note, it was awesome to get back into the 60's today, was finally able to comfortably burp the house this winter.
