Still nothing at my house. Fairly clear RAP is going to bust high for Wake...supposed to be 1" on the ground by 8pm...that isn't happening. And almost 3 by 11pm.

But looks good for 2" for the GSO area which is nice.

Dry air a huge problem with the huge NW shift we were seeing. Definitely stopped in its tracks. Still I’d expect 1-2 inches in Raleigh and a little less than an inch in Charlotte! Real powder snow though which is nice!

Coastal regions will cash out including along the SC coast where they could be dealing with 7-10 inches imo

Nothing but occasional flurries here in eastern Forsyth Co NC. I've let the cat out, when he comes in I can tell if it's snowing because his back will be wet. It's 21 degrees and the dew point has made it all the way up to 8 degrees. Maybe we will get something more, doubt it. Looks like Guilford County SW of here is at least getting a good coating.

I just saw my first flakes near Lake Wheeler in Wake County. Hopefully things will pick over the next hour or so. This is a fast moving system so there isn't much time for it to lay down an accumulation unless it really explodes when it tracks off the North Carolina coast.

Actually have a nice snowfall here near SouthPark now, beautiful fluffy snow. Hopeful we get lucky and sit underneath some nice bands. Looks to be better than the snow 2 weeks ago in Charlotte. Hopeful for an inch or so, looks nice laying on the ground and roads in the dark.

Enjoyed a beautiful sunset here in Ellijay at the edge of the cloud deck.

Congrats to my friends and family on the Gulf Coast! I remember a book that had pictures of Gulf Shores being covered with snow and as a kid being fascinated by it. It really is such an amazing event. Some of us had events like 93 to remember. You guys will never forget this one!
