Misc This Means WAR

Talarico victory speech excellent! He’s talking about us unifying to replace the politics of division, loving thy neighbor as Jesus preached, etc. This is the opposite of MAGA typical message. He wasn’t just speaking to his supporters. He said he was also addressing those who didn’t vote for him and saying he will be there Senator, too. I wonder if he might become interested in running for Pres one day.

Then again, Fetterman is Machin's replacement, I guess it's possible that he is Sinema's.

Let’s see if the Dems blow this generational opportunity (history says they will) or if they do what they were voted in to do.. which is work for us

They can certainly work on both. There needs to be a reckoning for all the illegal things this administration has done so that it can't happen again while also doing things that benefit the country too.

Considering bipartisanship sedates voters and thus empties fundraising coffers and opportunities. I think the answer is obvious.

This situation is slightly different. What we have is an entirely new coalition of Democrats who at very minimum will be more independant minded than we're used to. I've been involved in this stuff for years, it's easy to see on the inside. Whether it will turn into actual quality of life improvements I hope so.

I'd caution against reading too much into the soft statements by the current Congressional minority leaders Jeffries and Shumer. Their traditional role (before MAGA anyway) was much more reserved in public with the committee chairs doing most of the hard nosed politics. I personally would not be shocked if Shumer isn't the majority leader next year. Chris Coons has had his name thrown around and there's not exactly pushback from what I've seen/heard.

Something else to look for legislatively is action on "prediction markets" aka degenerate gambling by another name. I don't know if we'll get all the way to a national ban on sports gambling, but Kalshi/Polymarket/etc are on borrowed time.

Last night the GOP got fired. Nothing more nothing less. The Dems didnt get hired. Overwhelming majority of voters still oppose wokeism/ socialist/marxist idealogy.

GOP got handed the olive branch by working class.hispanic voters in 2024 and sat on their tales both chambers for 2 years. Not shocking!

Whats about to happen. Like the GOP, the Dems will overplay their hand. 2 years impeachments / witchhunts to every and all rising conservative threat/ future star etc. Try to bankrupt them so they never run again.

Dems have zero solutions to making things more affordable. Just like GOP in legislative branch. None of them can get their skulls around the fact you have a 40 trillion dollar plus defeceit that is solely responsible for causing inflation. None of them are going to rain in spending and certainly not hold anyone accountable for the theft and corruption they perputrate through these omnibus bills and out through the door into their pockets via usaid/ ukraine/lobbyist/ and a whole list of other mechanisims.

The GOP has to realize that the days of courting the chamber of commerce/ wall street/ rockefeller repubs isnt a recipe for success. The demographics have changed in America. Biggest coalition there is to target is the working class/nuclear family/hispanic voting block. You target that group by getting serious about inflation. Not subscribing to spending taxpayer money into oblivion and expecting the working taxpayer to finance more handouts and waste.

The Dems also need to realize the majority of voters who get up and go to work everyday are past tired of having to forefeit 5 months of their annual wages to pay off just the sum total of all the payroll/state/local and sales taxes that get collected from them. In addition to the Wokeness/Socialism/Islamism.

But I can gurantee you both sides will never figure this out and the spiral will continue. Train ran off the tracks quite a while ago fellows. Its really ashame to, cause my young adult children and grandchildren will be the ones who pay for it all

To the people who just were elected it is about one thing and one thing only, IMPEACHMENT (Revenge) and that is all they care about. Impeachment, turmoil and chaos just like you are seeing in Europe right now. What most people fail to realize is that it is the system that is the problem. I don't care if you have 2 parties, 3 parties or 2 dozen it's still the same corrupt system and will remain that way until people wake up and fully understand it. If this is what people want this is what they are going to get but Trump isn't going to lay down. He will burn it to the ground which is why I voted for him in the first place so despite the fact that I didn't vote, yesterday was a good day for what I want to see

Didn't your insider status also lead you to believe that Kamala Harris would get elected?

All in all, who knows, you may be correct, but logic dictates I'll believe it when I see it much like how much I'll really beleive my Alabama district congressman(who makes a single appearance every two years) really cares about me.

Independent minded......lololol. Yeah that's exactly the description I would use for these "New Democrats"....smh. They will do exactly what they are told to do - Impeach Trump so they can get back to creating programs for the people that we can't afford that don't do anything but make D.C. bigger and more corrupt. Got my popcorn ready to watch the downfall

The problem is when both sides(far left and far right) get tired of being played and join to overthrow everything. That is when things get bad.

I wonder how many people will be scraping off the MAGA bumperstickers and burning their MAGA clothing after last night's kick in the pants for Donald Trump and the Republican party he has taken over. Some Republicans are finally starting to express their displeasure at the job he has done as President. I honestly, for the life of me, do not understand why any of the candidates who were running would invite him to speak on the campaign trail on their behalf in any race that was competive. If Trump is the face of the Republican Party, it is time for a facelift.

Candidate quality goes a long way the dems picked a lot of good ones, the republicans got rid of their good ones and replaced them with Trump boot lickers...easy to see why last night went the way it did.

He seems like a normal very hard working farmer, the likes of which DT had gotten strong support from prior to his tariffs and war. He flipped the typically deep red seat of W NC to blue:

It's coming so be prepared. I am by no means a doomsday person but all one has to do is look around at the world right now. You hear a lot of talk about a "reset" or a "new world order" and people can and will scoff at such a thing but it's here. I have 80 acres of land so I'm not worried but not everybody has that luxury

Right. We can walk and chew gum at the same time. If they can tap in to the current trend of populism while seeking justice, they have 2028 locked up.

More or less what we were told was the chances were high one or the other would sweep the swing states and that's exactly what happened. ~120K votes the other way and VP becomes POTUS.
