Misc This Means WAR

Predict-It now has almost a 100% chance for the Dems to have 54+ Senate seats with most likely 55+!

One clarification: this 54+ Dem Senate seats being favored probably includes the 2 Independent senators that caucus with them.

Democrats took the Georgia governorship as well

Yeah and I even heard some Democrats talking about how they were gonna regret nominating her or how they wished someone else was nominated... Crazy isn't it

That just goes to show up how massive this wave is. That she got carried over the top

Rick Jackson spent over 200 million dollars and lost!

History in the making tonight in SC. At very minimum looking at the largest midterm popular vote win nationwide for either party since 1974. Keep up this pace and it's the largest electoral victory since WW2.

Who do you think they'll nominate? I can't see Ossoff getting it.

I have my doubts that a Jewish person can be elected President, but if there's ever one to do it he's it. You either have "it" or you don't, and he does. Either way a Democratic Governor in GA she would appoint his replacement should that occur.

Y'alls blue wave gonna turn your retirement accounts red, Merry Christmas you filthy animals 👏
We are on my wife's insurance. Open enrollment starts with a big bold statement that if she has a spouse on her plan that can get insurance through their employer there will be a $93.32 charge additional to our premium. So we will either get charged extra for all having the same insurance or I'll have to move over to mine.

Who is most likely to work on fixing our incredibly horrible insurance system? Sure ain't the ones who only care about those CEOs getting richer!

At this point I almost wonder if Big T hangs it up between now and January. Issue a stack of pardons and peace out. We don't have a vote of no confidence mechanism since we lack a parliamentary system, but this is the equivalent of that and then some.

There's quiet support for forcing health insurance companies to go nonprofit and divest their vertically integrated healthcare delivery and pharmacy assets on both the D and R sides. Probably not gonna get to a public option but that would go a long way.

I honestly think they are gonna Nixon him

Haven't paid attention to Texas tonight. Talarico up by 18 with 2/3 of the vote in? That's a reenactment of the firebombing of Tokyo. I'll never understand how Rs in that state chose Paxton over Cornyn.

Paxton was a terrible candidate yeah. Dude had more baggage than anyone!

You know he was impeached by his own party right?

Also NC now has a Democratic state house for the first time in 16 years. Obviously the top of the ticket was pulling the wagon but this is also on the heels of NC Republicans coming up with their insane independent state legislature theory that thankfully got slapped down by the Supreme Court.
