Been snowing for a couple hrs here in Florence and only have a light dusting so far. Unless rates and/or size of flakes pick up, I'm thinking this will underperform for north Alabama

They've sprayed de-icer along the secondary roads and entrances into the plant where I work. The snow is just now beginning to overcome where it was sprayed.I j
I just spoke to my son in Florence and he said he has a dusting but it has just started w/ the big flakes

Yes,, they have all been outliers to the west, and have passed that threshold for many.
Wes Wyatt told me that the model I was referring to on Fox could have been the BAMS model.

Do note that the main issue of this system in Alabama is going to be more icy roads than snow fall.

NAM looking good for SC and basically better for everyone.
Starting to spit a few flurries in downtown hartselle. We will know in 30’min how true radar is.

Just walked outside...the snow is very fine...once it accumulates on a hard surface...it's melting just enough to turn icy...getting slicker than eel crap
12k NAM is major crush age for upstate SC. Talk about a firehouse

NAM MUCH better this run so far. Trending good with that band. The jet streak shows up a little later this run, but better than it had been

Folks to avoid getting hopes crushed make sure you are viewing the radar in base reflectivity and not an area composite image. Composite images will always look more robust.

Yikes! That’s my fear here later when it starts because it’s gonna be in the 20s very quickly once it starts. Slow to warm up this morning though..still in the upper 20s this hour.

Dang Moore County jackpots again just like it did with the last system. I got a dusting out of the last one here in NW Chatham. The 2-4 output in central NC would be a big win, and yeah, that is a pretty big swath of 2-4 covering nearly all of Central NC.That Charlotte to Roanoke Rapids idea might happen. NAM looks great.
