Pattern July Fry

8664 is a saving grace today since my AC decided to go out last night. Last good day for a week so I hope they get it fixed in the morning

I started keeping a spare new in box capacitor, contactor, and hard start kit stored in the house a few years ago after getting caught out on a weekend with AC issues. Good luck.

Current snapshot of Heat Advisories/Excessive Heat Warnings. This heat wave's got quite the geographic coverage.

I'll note criteria is a little lower up north so that affects Warnings going all the way up to Maine. Still impressive.
Yeah and this one is centered farther north; leaving out the deep South areas that typically would have such warnings.

And, yikes; GSP already at 93 at noon; may very well hit the century mark each of the next few days; that doesn't happen multiple days too often here. And CAE only at 90. Normally if AVL is 88 and GSP is 93, CAE is going to be 98.

It’s an interesting heat wave. Currently forecasted hotter western piedmont than eastern piedmont/coastal plain from GA up to VA.

It’s not often being west of I-77 means higher temps. (well I assume that's the case, at least right now for SC)

It is a beautiful day in Myrtle Beach. I’m sure our luck will run out.

My ambient Station is located about 12 feet off the ground and its current showing a temp of 94 with dp of 82.. .giving me a hi of 117. I thought maybe something was off but looking around on the network, shows dps in the 78 to 82 range with hi in the 114 to 118 range nearby..with one showing as high as 128 which surely is overdone but likely supporting the idea of rather extreme heat indexes...so I guess its not too far off. It sure feels like it stepping outside and checking nws readings shows quite a few stations above 110...so the advisory probably should have been a warning...although its not a major thing in my book since anyone with a beating heart can feel its ridiculously hot and humid. . Just sickening, overwhelming, and dangerous being outside.
