It's United States First and always has been. We won't need Taiwan once our own chip manufacturing is up (soon to be running full speed!). Ukraine was always a boondoggle that we should have avoided. That was Biden's mess. The rest of Europe, except for a Hungary and maybe Poland are so far left now that they are the enemy to liberty and are not our friends. America would be better served not entangled with these loser countries in Europe. Taiwan is China's Ukraine and we need to stay out of it.
I didn't realize we abandoned Israel though.

Wouldn't be surprised. Drive oil down buy in then make a bombastic claim about the end of Iran and oil spikes and bang you have instant millions. We've seen this happening have we not?
Besides this being bad news for wx enthusiasts since it means all models coming out one hour later than standard time all year long, this was tried in 1974 and was hated by many. It lead to several children being killed due to late darkness in the morning during winter and was thus scrapped later in 1974. So, the experiment failed badly but yet they may do it again? Also, the regular golfer DT likes it because it helps the U.S. golf industry, which is lobbying for this (follow the $):

As usual Trump does the stupid thing. The right thing is to end daylight savings time for good and go back to normal. Who in the heck wants it to be sunny and hot at 8pm in summer?

Yes, stupid to many including you and I, but it’s not stupid to him being that he’s a golfer, he owns golf courses that would be helped, and the golfing industry lobbyists want it ($$$).
How about a middle ground of just leaving it alone? I’d think many parents of school children would appreciate it!
And the wx model aspect is real for many of us wx weenies. What wx enthusiast wants the 0Z Euro to not come out til 2AM all year long??

This 100% gives Congress to the Democrats in November.
The House has been favored to go there for awhile although the gerrymandering makes it less predictable as the GOP doing their part is related to them knowing it was headed to the Dems. But DT ending the war imho doesn’t itself hand the House (nor the Senate for that matter) to the Dems.

It looks like Trump is going to give Iran everything they want. Control of the strait, keeping their nuclear program going, and unfreezing 6 billion dollars in assets. If this is true It'll be Democratic wave.

Yes I'm sure metro Atlanta would LOVE winter sunrise not occurring util 8:24am in December with year round DST. Such a stupid idea. Add in a cloudy, rainy morning and it'll be pitch black until nearly 9am.
I don't know of any industry that's pushing for it locally. Some in SC made noise about it but the construction industry had some very poor projections on work delays caused by the dark mornings. The beach hospitality industry would be thrilled if we went year round ST because it'd open up so much outdoor dining and other activities where it's usually too hot in the summer around supper time.
What you're seeing is the US government lurching around looking for some way to save face and not come away with complete humiliation. Those things do matter diplomatically. The US has unequivocally lost this war in a strategic sense and all that's left is negotiating what each side comes away with.
