Was always against this war from the start but I’ve always been a strict isolationist anyway and never found Trump to be true to his word on that front.

Anyway, this whole thing was a damn disaster and an absolute embarrassment for the USA. How did this administration not know that the Strait was gonna cause us so much misery?!

Now we have an indefinite ceasefire and the Strait is not free. At this point, we should have just finished the job and steamrolled into Iran. Instead we’re left with an admin telling us that they’re in communications with Iran leadership (who, exactly??? I thought we killed them all????) with no easy way out of this.

I want the stupid decrepit sleepy corpse back.

I now realize why other team fans hated Alabama when the team was up 45/3 in the fourth quarter and a third-string WR dropped a touchdown pass and you would think from the reaction of Alabama fans that they had lost.

Ita amazing how Iran has totally reversed what should be happening. We are the ones who should be refusing to talk, waiting for Iran to beg us to talk. Instead, we are the ones begging Iran to please talk to us. This isnt the stance of a man who is going to negotiate a tough deal.

Completely agree. All the talk about giving Iran an off ramp was just for Trump to have an off ramp. He has played this badly.

Horribly, and he waivered with victory so close. I imagine he is furious with Vance right now. "You convinced me to stop the bombing and these Iranians we are dealing with are really good guys. They are truly sorry for murdering Jews and protestors" Now what JD?

We didn't have all the cards. In fact I'd argue Iran holds the ace of spades with the ability to control the strait of hormuz.

Like I said yesterday our economy is their biggest weapon. To do what yall want, trump would have to crash our economy, raise inflation considerably, ruin the global oil market and turn friends into foes.

We've now destabilized the region. Our middle eat allies have had their infrastructure attacked and for very little gain if any at all.

We will do just fine. We are the worlds largest energy exporter now. Like Kellogg said take Kharg and install a provisional govt there.
 
Dow futures +256. Crude is pretty flat. Neither is showing worrisome signs of a resumption of the war.

Over seven weeks of war, the US military has used roughly 45% of its Precision Strike Missiles, at least half of its THAAD interceptors, and nearly 50% of its Patriot air defense missiles, according to a new analysis by the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
These figures closely match classified Pentagon estimates, the report said.
The US military has also used roughly 30% of its Tomahawk missiles, over 20% of its long-range Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles, and about 20% of its SM-3 and SM-6 missiles, the report said.

Although the Pentagon signed contracts earlier this year to boost missile production, replenishing these systems will still take three to five years, even with increased capacity.

Where would we use the missiles if we had them? Trump will sign anything now to cut and run. He will NOT start up the war again. As far as Taiwan goes they can see they cant count on Trump.

China can see Trump is all bluff. A defeat in Iran is victory for China. We arent going to be shooting any missiles for awhile
