Was always against this war from the start but I’ve always been a strict isolationist anyway and never found Trump to be true to his word on that front.

Anyway, this whole thing was a damn disaster and an absolute embarrassment for the USA. How did this administration not know that the Strait was gonna cause us so much misery?!

Now we have an indefinite ceasefire and the Strait is not free. At this point, we should have just finished the job and steamrolled into Iran. Instead we’re left with an admin telling us that they’re in communications with Iran leadership (who, exactly??? I thought we killed them all????) with no easy way out of this.

I want the stupid decrepit sleepy corpse back.

I now realize why other team fans hated Alabama when the team was up 45/3 in the fourth quarter and a third-string WR dropped a touchdown pass and you would think from the reaction of Alabama fans that they had lost.

Ita amazing how Iran has totally reversed what should be happening. We are the ones who should be refusing to talk, waiting for Iran to beg us to talk. Instead, we are the ones begging Iran to please talk to us. This isnt the stance of a man who is going to negotiate a tough deal.

We didn't have all the cards. In fact I'd argue Iran holds the ace of spades with the ability to control the strait of hormuz.

Like I said yesterday our economy is their biggest weapon. To do what yall want, trump would have to crash our economy, raise inflation considerably, ruin the global oil market and turn friends into foes.

We've now destabilized the region. Our middle eat allies have had their infrastructure attacked and for very little gain if any at all.

These figures closely match classified Pentagon estimates, the report said.
The US military has also used roughly 30% of its Tomahawk missiles, over 20% of its long-range Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles, and about 20% of its SM-3 and SM-6 missiles, the report said.

Although the Pentagon signed contracts earlier this year to boost missile production, replenishing these systems will still take three to five years, even with increased capacity.

Where would we use the missiles if we had them? Trump will sign anything now to cut and run. He will NOT start up the war again. As far as Taiwan goes they can see they cant count on Trump.

China can see Trump is all bluff. A defeat in Iran is victory for China. We arent going to be shooting any missiles for awhile

Or a country who can afford to.

You have to look at the recent past and realize who they are, what their wishes are, and what they are capable of. You don’t negotiate with those types, you simply defeat them or get defeated by them.

Yes I am just as much concerned about how we are viewed on our strength globally as I am about Iran. We showed our stance in WW2, but we can’t rely on that image forever. Getting poked now, we have to regain the “strongest military in the world” image again.

Lex, I would look at news media less and concern myself more with how much capability do we have vs everyone else. If we are capable of ending a regime, then I wouldn’t worry about what CNN or Newsmax has to say.

When you have a congressman say stupid things like cheering awesome when he thought the Iranians got ship through, it doesn't help negotiations. The Iranians think every time a politician who in the past said they shouldn't have nuclear weapons now are saying things that are anti US(cheering for a win for Iran is supporting Iran not US) It is a signal in their mind that they have support within the democratic party who want to help them, therefore they should not negotiate, just wait for the other party to comeback in power.They are sabotaging the talks.At the very least they could stop spreading propaganda put out by Iran the way Chris Murphy has.He is beginning to be Irian's best PR man. Kind of like a Tech student cheering when UGA gets a touchdown.
