Pattern April Oven

Unlike most here, I think the Summer will be average or slightly below average for the SE. Rain could be sparse either way unless a Tropical system moves or way in June. I think the warmest part of the US will be upper Midwest and West (per average) this summer with drought persisting in the Central and SE US. Long range forecasts are a crap shoot so take this with a grain (or ton) of salt but I am optimistic on the temperatures at least
Expect the usual hot se. Summer

Pattern looks like the warm early nino Decembers we have had recently with the wave ridge over the east and the break offshore. Think it is a short lived thing and we see rain chances increase the 2nd half of the month. We really did catch a crappy break here with the trough amplifying and pushing this front through. Womp

Wife just drove by a brush fire on the side of the road in town beside some townhomes. She called the fire department. We need rain yesterday

I agree with the hurricane part but a well organized tropical storm can get the job done. A repeat of Beryl from 1994, minus the tornadoes would do nicley.
I had my fill with TD Alberto. Three days of rain you couldn't see thru or breath in. Once is enough. I used to love extreme weather, but now I'm too old to save myself, or rebuild. I'm over it until my next youth, lol. The ticks are boiling up and mosquito's are building in with all the leaves and green. Next comes the humidity that kills, or wants to.

That's why I didn't mention that one. That storm stalled and caused major problems. Beryl kept moving along. We don't need another Alberto, but another one like Beryl would be nice.
