Misc This Means WAR

There were >3K demonstrations across the U.S. with a record high estimate of 9 million folks protesting at today’s “No Kings III” protests. One of the main issues being protested is the Iran War.

Wow lost one of their last negotiators. And bombing infrastructure. That will initiate a coup, not.
Didn’t Iran claim there were no negotiations? Im not exactly happy with how the war has played out but definitely not am sad about this guy not being around any longer.

Conspiracy Theorists Go Viral With Unsubstantiated Claim About Israel-Hamas Conflict

Conspiracy theorists have gone viral with a claim the Israeli government knew in advance that Hamas was going to launch a coordinated terrorist attack on October 7. And some are even claiming, without evidence, that Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a so-called “stand-down” order for the Israeli military. But there’s nothing to show the Israeli government knew of the surprise attack, which killed over 1,300 people.

The origin of this conspiracy theory appears to be Charlie Kirk, a far-right influencer and strong supporter of former president Donald Trump. The 29-year-old Kirk, who leads a national college-focused Republican group called Turning Point USA, appeared on the PBD Podcast on Thursday and insisted he wasn’t spreading a conspiracy theory before immediately helping spread an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory.

“I’m not willing to say, to go so far to say that Netanyahu knew or there was intelligence here, but I think some questions need to be asked. Was there a stand down order? Was there a stand down order?” Kirk said, repeating the rhetorical question for emphasis.

Kirk’s wild speculation doesn’t appear to have any basis in fact but instead hinges on the fact that he’s “been to Israel many times” and “the whole country is a fortress.”

But, again, there’s no evidence Netanyahu knew of the attack in advance, though many Israelis are understandably upset over the intelligence failure that saw so many people slaughtered.

Forbes rated least biased and high level of factual reporting:

The Iranian ambassador in Beirut was dragged out from inside the embassy and thrown into the Jeep, and the officer smashed him on the head Bravo That's how you handle it

First update from my Iranian American friend in a week: not much change from the last one:

As far as I have learned is that people don't think this regime is going to change and are angry that the infrastructure is targeted. The belief is that Trump didn't plan it well.

When the war started, they had lots of hope for regime change and thus the folks not liking the mullahs (~80% of citizens) were just about all supportive of the US and Israel with regard to the war. Since then the overall support has fallen. He didn’t tell me the % still supporting. They’re not now hating these two countries but rather are frustrated and disappointed about how’s it’s going.

I gave a clownface reaction because the source of the Tweet you posted, “AF Post”, is a fake news site:

Factual Reporting: Low - Not Credible - Not Reliable - Fake News
The website AF Post, a platform advocating for the “America First” movement and conservative Christian values, has been rated Extreme Right with Low Credibility by Media Bias Fact Check (MBFC). The site, which frequently critiques both liberal ideologies and mainstream conservative outlets, has been flagged for promoting propaganda, conspiracy theories, and pseudoscientific racial narratives.

So, your source is terrible.

I sure wouldnt want Trump negotiating for me if i were a pro-baseball player going for a 300 million 5 year deal. By the time the contract was ready to sign i would be paying the team to play. I dont understand why Trump is so stupid. We dictate terms and end the war when every term is fully implemented, such as the enriched uranium is in our hands. Making deadlines then extending them time and again tells Iran we are desparate. Iran should dictate terms. Num 1 should be Trump will be put on trial in Tehran. If you arent going to fight to win, dont fight at all.

Iran will just keep doing little things like this until Trump surrenders.

Woops thanks! I’ll delete

Iran must think they are dealing with a 4 yr old. No doubt trump will end the war half-assed with the rest of his term filled with Iran simply endlessly negotiating while becoming even more powerful.

Perhaps i need to remind Mr Trump we actually WON the revolutionary war with the decisive battle at Yorktown. Also, I would say the Union waged a quite successful war that ended with the North dictating terms. There were no negotiating about slavery or any possibility of some kind of southern state continuing. WW1 ended with terms being dictated to Germany and WW2 ended with unconditional surrender. 2 following wars ended with Negotiations with NKorea becoming a nuclear power and North Vietnam totally winning

Can I be the first to petition the powers that be to only let Snowfan post Twitter and news articles in this thread. The constant flipping from Trump gonna let Iran dictate the terms to Trump is about to dump 100k soldiers into Iran because evil Israel told him too, is really giving me a headache...

Speaking of that can anyone explain what the incentive Iran has to give up is when he keeps saying things like this? A deal means the Iranian regime survives, re-arms and continues to dominate the area.

Honestly you're just freaking out like you did before the election and everything turned out quite okay.

Possibly, but we are seeing a constant cycle: Negotiation, balking, another round of higher Iranian officials dead, negotiation, balking, the next rung of higher Iranian officials dead.

While it does not fully get rid of the regime, it may end up the next best thing where the next leaders are much more willing to placate to the west.

Unless the American public wants to go full invasion, considering how little pushback the Iranian public is doing, this is probably best case.

If Trump is correct about negotiations, then we can probably assume Iranian leadership is fractured.

A LOT of people have been fooled by Israel and I have to include myself in that group "to an extent" as my POV just a year ago was still one of a soldier supporting a MILITARY ALLY. Look at how many people are questioning Israel NOW. That isn't by accident. I'm sure to get negative feedback from this and that's ok but I think Trump is exposing them and has known about this threat for sometime. The only clear and decisive way to take the corruption down is to expose it and make people aware so they will begin to question. It's about to get interesting in that area of the world
